It's always hard writing about yourself without coming off as
completely full of shit, but I'll try. I have a big heart and enjoy
talking about real things. I'm not into surface stuff. Life has so
much more to offer. I love music and the way it hits me. I
definitely connect with people through that. I also enjoy writing.
It's interesting looking back at thoughts I've had in my head that
otherwise I wouldn't have remembered.
I love, love, love to laugh and make people laugh.
I'm strong minded without being obnoxious.
I like the way I am.
What I’m doing with my life
Enjoying every day and seeing where life takes me. I'm interested
in going to Ireland and would love to have someone awesome to go
with. :) And I may even try out skydiving at least once just to
know I've done it. I hear it's quite the experience. ;)
I’m really good at
The first things people usually notice about me
Height? Smile? Eyes? My laugh?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books-way too many I could list so I won't bore you with that, but
I love memoirs as well as fiction. I tend to connect with any
person-real or fictional- who becomes strong mentally or
emotionally and have been through hell. Dysfunctional people are
everywhere, but how they rise above it speaks volumes about their
Movies- top five favorites...American Beauty, Good Will Hunting,
Silver Linings Playbook, Adventureland, The Perks of Being A
Shows-I don't watch a lot of TV anymore, but my favorite is
probably It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. If you haven't seen it,
you're missing out.
Music-oldies, random indie and folk songs I come across...it's
impossible to list all my favorite bands but the ones I can think
of go something like this: Great Lake Swimmers, The Lumineers, Iron
and Wine, Mason Brothers, MGMT, Radiohead, Elliott Smith, Mumford
and Sons, Nick Drake, Fleet Foxes, The Smiths, Sublime, Bob Marley,
Neil Young, Band of Horses and of course, many more.
I am someone who definitely loves discovering good food, so if you
know of good places to go in the Dallas area let me know...or if
you're a good cook. :)
And if you want to introduce me to jams that you think are great,
I'm open to hear them, just as long as it isn't country.
The six things I could never do without
Reading a great book, listening to calm, mellow music, writing,
talking with a close friend, reflecting on life, and my integrity.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Life and how weird it is and how fast time flies. Wondering if I'm
taking full advantage of what little time I have. How most people,
myself included, waste so much time on our phones, on the Internet,
at dead end jobs, etc. Overthinking just about everything.
On a typical Friday night I am
Depends. I may be out. I may be relaxing at home. Every Friday is
different depending on my work schedule.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
It takes time for me to open up to new people, but if you're able
to get through to me, you're probably a pretty amazing
I like the word 'wanker'.
You should message me if
-You can make me laugh. Out loud. Not just on the inside. :)
-You're good at grammar and spelling. That's never a bad
-You're genuinely nice. This chick doesn't like assholes.
-You have the dark hair/light eyes combo, or a beard. If not,
that's cool, I just tend to be attracted to that. Also, nice teeth.
It can be kind of a deal breaker for me.
-You're interested in meaningful conversation.
-You love folk, indie, or acoustic music or want to introduce me to
-You think I'm attractive and are intrigued.
-You're not pretentious.
To be quite honest, I'm on here to date, not just make friends. My
work schedule makes it harder for me to meet people and I can be a
bit shy. If any of the above applies to you, feel free to message
