Music has become a really great outlet.

Last night I had a friend over and for nearly three hours we listened to music of varying genres. We sang along to some, let the smooth melodic undertones take our emotions, and although it may be lame to admit it, really felt what the music was about. It was one of those evenings where I didn't have to go out and be part of the larger picture to feel like an integral part of "society."

I sit here at my desk right now listening to Dream Catcher by Alexandre Desplat and it's like waves of feeling flowing over me as if I were sitting in a stream. Every melody and tempo change makes me feel a little bit different, but still at peace. It's not something that I would say is really easy to explain, but all the same I do love it. This is why I have such a passion for music!

Tonight I plan a night in with my cat and a bottle of wine. I will listen to music and hopefully begin writing again. I have been attempting to write for over a year now and am just now finding the time. More updates to follow on that one though as I am never completely focused on writing long enough to finish my "masterpiece."

Well I am completely new to the world of "online dating" and am not really sure what to expect...

I suppose for the most part I am only looking to make friends with people, but am not totally opposed to the idea that I may find someone very worth dating on here, but we will see where this avenue leads me :-)
