I am funny, smart, and romantic.

My Self-Summary

Maybe I'll expand on the three adjectives; that's a good start.

Funny: grew up influenced by Monty Python, SNL, MASH, Taxi, etc. whatever was on, my parents let me watch along! I think I ended up pretty silly in an obscure way. I really admire Andy Kaufman, Jonathan Winters, and Craig Ferguson.

Smart: yep, one of the nerdy ones growing up, always reading, then computers and science... recently picked up my Masters.. could go back and finish a separate BFA one day... have a solid, established technical/creative career going. Always reading, interested in learning, traveling, etc.

Romantic: yes, romantic. Do women still like that anymore?

What I’m doing with my life

Developing my career, restoring a car, learning about gardening & healthy cooking, listening to a lot of music.

I’m really good at

Listening, conversation, making people laugh, most things artistic, my job, problem solving, cooking, retaining bits of useless and obscure information.

The first things people usually notice about me

Sense of humor. Then, maybe the bits of retained obscure information.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books: I read often. Used to read a lot of SF, but in the last decade have been reading biographies, history, and non-fiction. I have a wall of books, mostly on the arts, architecture, anthropology, antiques, gardening & cooking.

Movies: I enjoy foreign and independent films.. pixar...

Music: Oh boy. I also have a wall of records. Everything from classic country, to classical, to current indie & rock bands. I've got a soft spot for '80's music. I buy a lot of vinyl. If it can be heard on college or independent/NPR radio stations such as KEXP, well, I like it!
