I have a weird sense of humor, I'm a romantic at heart, and I love video games and movies. I'm a complete and total audiophile. I draw, I paint, I sing, I dance like the white girl I am. I also play Dungeons and Dragons, though the 'unwashed gamer' stereotype is a deal-breaker. I play World of Warcraft and League of Legends.
I am an incredibly musical person. I draw comfort from sound. Music is therapeutic for me. 80s music is definitely my favourite. The beats, the synth, the sound-- love it. I'm listening to "Our House" as I'm typing this and I'm not ashamed to admit that I'm jamming to it.
Speaking of 80s, I love that whole decade in general. I guess if I was to stereotype myself, I'd call myself an 80s-style glam rocker/punk girl. Don't judge me! I still watch Jem and the Holograms and Silverhawks and several other 80s cartoons.
I'm pretty much just an outgoing, bubbly, weird gamer. I can be loud and lively when I'm around people I'm comfortable with. I'm a goof-- I love to make people laugh.
I'm a little bit neurotic I guess, but so is everyone, right? I tend to panic in large crowds. I'm okay in small rooms/spaces, but being surrounded by people makes me freak out a little bit. I like to do my grocery shopping at around 2 AM for that reason. That, and it's always awkward when you bump into someone you don't know well enough to really talk to over and over again in different aisles. It just gets awkward and uncomfortable because you feel obligated to say something to them but you can't because you ran out of things to say the last time you ran into them while you were looking at cereal.
BUT I DIGRESS.
I have a cat. Her name is Bridget, but she answers to "Hey, bitch!" which still amuses me to no end. I don't have any dogs, but I like them as long as they aren't tiny and yappy.
Let's seeeeee... I enjoy movies (Oh my God, really?! To find someone else here who likes movies is just CRAZY!) quite a bit, and my movie taste is just about as varied as my musical taste. I like action films, so if you're a man who likes his explosions, I'm down. I also enjoy some comedies-- I typically find British/verbal humor a lot funnier than fart jokes-- and horror films, though I don't enjoy particularly gory stuff. Frankly, gore doesn't scare me, and if I'm gonna watch a horror film, I want to be scared. I watch anime (typically older stuff) and I'm not overly fond of chick flicks, though I do have a confessed fondness for Pretty Woman and Sense and Sensibility. Oh, and I loooove musicals-- like Sweeney Todd, the Phantom of the Opera, Into the Woods, Fiddler on the Roof... ah, whatever, you get the idea.
I'm also interested in the paranormal. I am part of a local area investigation group along with my older sister and her husband. We don't profess to be psychics or crap like that-- we're more the Ghost Hunters types in that we go in with equipment and looking for either solid proof or reasonable debunking explanations. We've been to the Lemp Mansion a couple of times, along with a few spots in my town and the surrounding area. It's a lot of fun.
I'm going to college at Southeast Missouri State University. My major is Family and Consumer Science Education, to put it in fancy technical terms. To put it bluntly, I'm gonna be a home ec teacher.
My biggest dislike in the world? Females. Not gonna lie. I have a very strong dislike for about 90% of my gender. Too much drama and bitching, amirite? I dunno how straight men and lesbians put up with it. So, I try to be mellow. If I'm in a bad mood, I usually have a reason for it. And if it's my time of the month, I try not to walk around snarling at everyone and making it painfully obvious that yes, I am surfing the tides. I also don't do that backstabbing thing. If I have a problem with something or someone, I'll be plainly honest about it. Some people say that makes me coarse or difficult to talk to, but I personally think that it's better than being a lying conniver.
I can't think of anything else to add to this for now. Ah well, I'll come back later.
