My self-summary
I am a petite, spunky graduate student who likes dive bars, eating and cooking all types of food and exploring this wonderful, mysterious city. I'm getting my master's in social work, and though it's not a glamorous field, I can't imagine doing anything else. I love all kinds of music, and I will never pass up a good VH1 countdown special (though that's a rare treat for me these days, as I lack cable). I also like to work out, cook, read and travel. I am happy to watch the Red Sox, but I'm a casual fan at best, so I'm not going to get heated about it. I really just like an excuse to trade witty insults, and that's an opportunity I don't often get in social work. I'd like to meet someone fun, but not a game player. At minimum, let's eat some Thai food and get a beer!
What I’m doing with my life
I'm in graduate school, getting a master's in social work, but graduation is looming!
I’m really good at
writing, trivia (all of my time watching VH1 countdown shows is good for something!) tap dancing, trying to work wonky graduate school terms into casual conversation, using my student ID to go to museums
The first things people usually notice about me
I frankly have no idea, but I'd wager my earrings--they're usually big/colorful.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Music: Rilo Kiley/Jenny Lewis (only band I know of with a former cast member of "Salute Your Shorts!"), Radiohead, the Shins, Metric, the Beatles, Neko Case, Kid Cudi, Of Monsters and Men, Bruce Springsteen

Shows: Mad Men, Friends, How I Met Your Mother, Seinfeld, Parks and Rec, Top Chef, various cooking shows

Books: Jane Eyre, Ministry of Special Cases, Caucasia, The Help, Invisible Man, Random Family, The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks, among many others

Food: I can't think of a type of food I really can't stand, but I am always up for Thai, Middle Eastern and Mexican.
The six things I could never do without
1) My family
2) My friends
3) Running/exercising
4) The salad bar at West Side Market
5) Music
6) Comedy (movies, TV, stand up)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
