I try to be a jack of all trades and for the ones I can't master I have friends for. I like to think of myself as well traveled although recently i haven't had the opportunity to go anywhere truly exotic unless Hawaii counts. I'm a big fan of music festivals and went to Coachella in California last year ( I mean who could pass on the chance to see DEVO). I can't say the lineup is too impressive this year though. So aside from festivals I try and catch acts that I like when they come to the area. I managed to catch Grinderman when they came to Boston a few months ago and am looking forward to my next adventure.

I grew up modestly in a well to do town and I feel that's kept me grounded. I don't need mansions and boats but enough money to live on and take care of my friends. I'm looking forward to the warm weather so I can get my new wheels out on the road. Until now the only 2 wheeled vehicles I've owned were my bicycles.

I'm a big fan of film my favorite style being film-noir. Aside from studying film and languages in college I ended up in a career in Hotel Management. I guess when people said "don't make this your day job" I wasn't listening so what started out as a way to pay bills in college, became something of a career.

After spending the last 3 years as caregiver for grandmother with Alzheimer's her condition progressed to the point the she needed more care than I was able to provide. I recently got my new passport so I've been aching to try it out.

As a side project I also started investigating the mysterious death of my grandfather 68 years ago. It's taken me to Martha's Vineyard where it happened, as well as to many libraries around Mass.

Conflict resolution, being a good friend. My friends say that I knack for putting a room at ease.

I been told that's it's my eyes, others would say it's my uncanny sense of humor.

Huge fan of Kerouac and Hemingway, but I've been known to dapple in Foucault and Camus when it comes to the literary front. My favorite book would be The Little Prince. I've made it a hobby to see how many volumes of it in different languages I can collect which makes me pretty easy to shop for when people want to get me gifts.

As for film I'd have to say my top 10 are: Third Man, Raising Arizona, Goodbye Lenin, Wings of Desire, The Great Escape, Lawrence of Arabia, Un coeur en hiver, Trust, Mystery Train and I'm gonna Get You Sucka.

When it comes to TV : IT Crowd, Kids in the Hall, Black Books, the Simpsons, Slings and Arrows, Deadwood, and whatever gift happens to have come in the mail from Netflix
