I love to learn new things. I hold myself to a high standard, and I am strongly self-motivated. I like to take something good and turn it into something amazing.
I like to play disc (frisbee) golf. It's a fun way to go out and spend an afternoon. I also like taking bike trips along the Leon Creek greenway trail.
My Myers-Briggs personality type is INTJ. This wikipedia article describes me very well: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/INTJ
I like parentheses.
I host a regular board game night at my house. My current favorite game is Power Grid.
I'm a good negotiator. (The secret is to do your research ahead of time.)
It's kind of funny how many complete strangers will walk up to me and ask if they can take a picture with me. I always oblige, of course, because I'm nice like that, but there are always a few people who try to take my picture surreptitiously and don't do a good job hiding their intentions. I sometimes wonder how many random photo albums I'm in.
Netflix would say that I'm a fan of witty comedies and cerebral thrillers. I really like movies with time-travel. Primer is a great example in this category.
I'm not a fan of most live shows because I feel they are overproduced. I do like live music at a hole-in-the-wall during a meal. I would enjoy going to see an orchestra concert or an opera, although I'm not really a theater person.
On the radio, I listen to NPR the most, followed by classical and then country music. My favorite NPR shows are the Freakonomics podcast, This American Life, and Car Talk.
My favorite food is barbeque. I received a drum smoker as a gift, and I use it every few weeks now. The process can take up to 10-12 hours, so it's very rewarding to enjoy the finished product. My favorite meats are brisket and pork ribs.
How to respond when someone says "Man you're tall." My current favorite response is "Thanks, I work out."
...you want to message me (is that sufficiently tautological?).
...you know what "tautological" means.
...you have a strong opinion about beards (for or against).
...you flip a coin and it comes up heads (http://www.random.org/coins/?num=1&cur=60-usd.0050c).
...you wanted the coin to come up heads and it didn't.
