My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
42. Oh, wait. Right answer, wrong question.

Mostly I'm a nerd. I try to disguise it by being interested in a lot of different things, but at the bottom of it, I am a serious nerd. I do the same typical things most people do - hang out with friends and family, enjoy certain sports and outings, do other stuff, lol. I spend way too much time up at Tech since I am pursuing my graduate degree and working there. I'd say I'm pretty laid back, but then I'd probably mess that up by overthinking something and worrying it to death. But for the most part, I am laid back. I like to hang out and have fun. It's not extreme or even all that original but it works for me.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Pursuing my PhD in History at Texas Tech. Beyond that, I'm really still trying to figure this question out myself. I'm thinking running away and living on a ranch or beach or something somewhere sounds like a way better plan.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
everything. Or more likely, I'm really good at sleeping, procrastinating, and watching obscure youtube videos.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Stuff? I don't know. I'm not noticing me.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: In Death Series, anything by Mark Twain, and World War Z. I average 40-60 books a semester for school alone so this list is pretty ridiculous.
Movies: Avengers, Star Wars (the original series), Sherlock Holmes, King Arthur, anything by Mel Brooks
Shows: Bones, Castle, Supernatural, Doctor Who, Criminal Minds, South Park
Music: Texas Country, country, jazz, big band
Food: Mexican, Vietnamese, country (pretty much anything fried)
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
God, family, friends, coffee, books, and Nam.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Sleeping. Where are my keys? How graduate school was a terrible life choice. Why my students don't know who the hell fought in the American Revolution. Is the zombie apocalypse plausible? Seriously, where are my keys?? Random song lyrics from 15 years ago.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Reading at home. I'm a history graduate student. That's pretty much my life. Occasionally they let us out of our prison cells and I get the chance to hang out with friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm very suspicious of people. Probably because I watch what South Park recently called "informative murder porn." So any time I see a trash bag or box on the side of the road I'm like.. dead body. Gotta be. Lol

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
1. You're intelligent.
2. You're looking for more than a booty call.
3. You know who fought in the American Revolution.
4. You want to nerd out about awesome things like Whedon, superheros, Dr. Who etc
5. You're not a douche. Or rather, you're a good balance of asshole and nice guy. Everyone's a bit of a dick, it's the balance that matters I guess.
