My self-summary
First and for most I try to like everyone I meet. I like some more than others but I figure this is a good base line. I try to live by the Golden Rule. I'm mostly successful.
I'm currently separated and the Dad of three boys 18, 15 and 9. Suffice to say they are all awesome. I will brag upon request but be warned; I really do not need one. It just happens.
I'm a Liberal. I served in the Marine Corps so my social consciousness is tempered with a little "suck it up, buttercup" but I fall in line with a left agenda. I'm glad I Dad did it, my brother, my uncles, my Grandfathers, my great uncles; you get the picture. I don't want to get off track; Lets just leave it at Pres. Obama's Inauguration was one of the best days of my life. What a relief. Oh and finally, as far as I'm concerned, fox news does not exist (except as clips on Stewart and Colbert).
I'm culturally Roman Catholic but do not have all the sacraments....These days I'm a Unitarian Universalist but don't quiz me...I'm new. I like the message, the inclusiveness, the overall nice, peaceful atmosphere. I'm diggin' it.
I'm originally from the South Shore of Massachusetts so... yeah...I'm a Red Sox fan. I am, however, Mets tolerant; Even after '86 (I still feel trauma). That all being said, I'm light on following sports in general but I'd rather watch any game than mow a lawn.
I'm throwing snowboarding out there--I can get down any black trail (it can be ugly) but I avoid New England glades--can't get the nose around those icy moguls. Out West, powder makes everyone look good.
I'm a Physics/Astronomy....not really a "buff"...........maybe a wannabe....I have flashes of clear understanding of our universe and's gone. I do enjoy star gazing and loved seeing the Southern Cross in 2010.
I am 65% oxygen, 18% carbon, and 17% other
What I’m doing with my life
I am a program manager with a manufacturing company. I'm with my boys in the evenings and weekends (but clearly looking for nights out).
I’m really good at
Can I say composting? Mother Nature does most of the work but I assemble and turn over. Also I'm good at getting dandelions by the root 'cause I hate using chemicals.

Uhh.. I'm also good at making myself look like a nerdy farmer.

I'm a jack of all trades, master of none around houses.
The first things people usually notice about me
I know this is somewhat of a detractor but I think it would be that I'm initially rather shy, especially with groups of people I do not know. That corrects itself pretty quickly.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books I'll read most anything but mostly I read classics that I've missed along the way, history and scifi.
With movies I'd rather be entertained and/or escape than be challenged so comedies, action are for me but it's the company that counts. Basically just say "Hey, this is a great movie, lets watch it," and I'm there.
I like all kinds of music...for some reason I really like horns so Jazz, reggae and SKA are tops with me. I like punk but no longer look the part..not that I ever really did but now I'd look like a Narc. The Who, The Band, Steely Dan are brilliant. Old Bruce, I might know all his lyrics. Alas, I'm a little too young to be a Dead Head (Worcester 1987) and a bit too old to follow Phish but I try. While I'm thinking about jam bands, Blues Traveler is great and Dave Mathews come to mind. NPR and surprisingly disappointing NY radio (on the Island) keep me less current. I have to say Boston beats NY hands down in that department. WBCN R.I.P.
I love spicy food, mex, thai but also italian, sushi (I have no idea what I'm eating but its all good). I've never turned down a chocolate chip cookie.
The six things I could never do without
1. My boys, of course. So it's a funny feeling with the older ones starting to break away a little....
2. Coffee. It's my one big vice; Skim milk, no sugar.
3. redacted (not dirty just under reconsideration)
4. redacted (not dirty just under reconsideration)
5. crushed red pepper
6. Maybe you...
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The bright future...when am I going to cram in a musical instrument....can I find someone to read Shakespeare with....will I find a reason brush up on my did I get defined as "sex driven?" Is that a bad thing? Should I say I'm slightly balding? Oops I just did.. Would I be allergic to Schrodinger's cat? Buying used have too many books...your laptop battery is about to
On a typical Friday night I am
Making dinner, home with the lads.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I read the Twilight Series. Interesting fact....I'm a Cullen on my Mother's side. I put this here because my brother has threatened to take away my man credentials.

Anything you've read resonates. You have questions...even though OKC is trying to drag info out of us there's so much more....right?

Also if you can forgive my squareness and "country mouse" visage.
