I hate these boxes that ask you to summarize your life, but, here we go. I live in Louisville, Kentucky, and love this state. Kentucky gets a bad rap pretty regularly, but it's home, and I'd rather stick around and try to turn things around than leave and look down on folks.

I have 22 stitches on my right thumb.

I like haikus a lot, although I don't write them much anymore.

I love Louisville, a whole lot, and being involved in a community. Social justice work is really important to me, and I try to be as engaged as time and brain function allows. I'm particularly interested in energy issues, especially around coal mining, and in voter empowerment.

I work as a youth organizer, which can be demanding and exhausting, but also incredibly rewarding.

Just like every other person in the world, there's more to me than can fit into a box.

I graduated from Berea College in May, having majored in English Literature and minored in Appalachian Studies. I now work for a national environmental justice/social justice student and youth organization as their statewide organizer in Kentucky.
