My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
My self summary goes something like this. I am a delight to be around, yet sometimes caustic, prone for engagement, requires attention but easily amused, been labeled at times medium to high maintenance (but that's just their opinion).

Not much of a TV watcher but a compulsive reader be that in fits and stops, a full-on sun worshiper, which leads in to I'm happiest in flip-flops, addicted to travel and new cultures, drawn to water and being exposed to new things. I'm artistically challenged but I try to play the guitar. I enjoy cooking but I am wary of baking for some strange reason - perhaps I like to play with my food?

When it comes to a partner, I think real beauty is in the imperfections, the little quirks that make a person unique.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Breathing oxygen, putting one foot in front of the other, getting paid to think like a fish, answering lots of silly questions on this website, looking out the window at the onslaught of rain, and wondering how much a plane ticket is to some far off tropical destination.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Keeping a chin up and rolling with whatever life throws at you. Seeing both sides of the story whatever that may be. Making lists and losing them. Being upfront, honest, speaking my mind.. I may be good at it but it has a way of making my life a headache at times.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Typically my blue eyes and my propensity for banter.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Favorite books: the Brothers K, Life of Pi, Dune, the God of Small Things, the Monkey Wrench Gang.

Movies: Arizona Dreams, The Big Lebowski, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Dead Man, Apocalypse Now, Drive, Baraka

Music: I should have bought the t-shirt " I listen to bands that don't even exist yet".

Right now the playlist gravitates often to Ween, Grizzly Bear, Menomena, Run On Sentence, Jose Gonzalez, Radiohead, DeVotchka, Old 97s, old Kings of Leon (just to be a snob about it), GusGus and of course some of the classics like Pink Floyd.

Food: Mmmm, I love food, all kinds of food.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
-- Coffee
-- Coffee with a little cream and sugar
-- Good books
-- Good conversation
-- Friends
-- Beautiful beaches with warm water
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Where to travel to next. The news of the day. When I buy a house what it will look like, what colors I'll paint the walls. People watching and creating stories of what I see around me. The dream from last night that stays on the tip of my tongue and the back corner of my mind.

I can be a deep thinker and now and again can think about the big picture all at once, but then I forget to blink and people wonder if I'm medicated.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
A tad restless and wanting to do something social. Decompressing over an adult beverage. Avoiding grocery shopping.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
If you're quirky, willing to laugh at yourself (and at me), and enjoy meeting new people. And, well, you'd rather just meet even be it briefly rather than exchange a long litany of emails to pass the time.
