My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
And something ignited in my soul,
fever or unremembered wings,
and I went my own way
deciphering that burning fire...

- pablo neruda

January 2014 - I arrived a bit early for my first ever client and decided to take in some conscious breaths at the nearby park. Feeling embodied in the moment, I gingerly ventured towards the counseling center. En route, I passed a young boy (5 years old) and his father. We smiled and said hello. Just as I passed, the little boy turned around and said, "what do you do?" Caught a bit off guard by such an unexpected and direct question, I paused for a moment, turned inwards, and reflected. And for the first time in my life I said, "I am a therapist." The words deeply resonated - a 'truth' had been spoken. I landed into a profound inner calm that enveloped my being as I walked into the center with head held high and heart radiating. Ahhhhh, moments like these reinforce the feeling that I do not walk this path alone and in fact am being guided and nurtured along the way.

I'm open hearted, insatiably curious, playful, love to laugh, have a happy disposition, intellectually engaged, and passionate about connecting with people on a deep level. yoga and meditation nurture my body/spirit and help maintain balance in my life. i am a true gentlemen and am looking for a woman who appreciates this rare quality - yes, chivalry is not dead! :) witty remarks and laughter are my companions (huge bonus points if you like to play right along). I'm a basketball fan (long time warriors season ticket holder), play competitive tennis, and love outdoor adventures. Photography and traveling (40 countries and counting) are my passions for stimulating creativity and exploration. my dog rio is my favorite. to know him is to know me.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
A couple of years ago i did the unthinkable, leaving the 'sure thing' finance career in pursuit of something more personally meaningfulI, which ultimately led me back to school to get a masters degree in psychology. Since January, I have been seeing clients as a therapist in training. The work is so rewarding, mutually healing, and is congruent with how I live my life. Forever curious, evolving, learning to love myself and others, cultivating awareness and cherishing the simplicity of the present moment, courageously leaning into life and learning to embrace all it has to offer while sharing these gifts with others.

Although I am perfectly content with my life as is, I’m open to meeting a woman who resonates with authenticity, vulnerability, a sense of adventure, and a childlike curiosity. Someone committed to her own path yet also ultimately desirous of sharing this journey, deeply and intimately with another. Looking forward to meeting you….
