My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.

I'm an engineer and extrovert, so I walk the fine line of contradiction into both hilarity and accidents. I enjoy trying to find the balance with my work life, home life, personal life, spiritual life, and party life. Like many Geminis, I can find balance thru excess, which will leave many scratching their heads. I am the guy who'll get your SciFi reference, but won't try to spout the entire movie at you in response. I enjoy studying languages, though admittedly I do not pick them up quickly.

I often think about traveling. I'm always planning my next international vacation. I've visited three of the big seven, and should hit number four in the winter this year. (Advance, Australia Fair!) You can often catch me on the light rail with my headphones in. If you could hear them, you'd hear any number of podcasts, ranging from RadioLab thru Savage Love Magnum to Critical Hit. Or my face buried into my kindle. Or staring off at one of the many mountains that surround my oceanic home.

I am cogent, testerical, and geeky
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm also Euro-Trash cum Texas so when I talk to family or watch anything with a Southern Accent in it, Texas comes cascading out of my mouth like a cattle drive gone horribly wrong.

I'm a telecom engineer by trade, so I spend the majority of my day working on deployments with our field engineers or directly with engineers from countries all around the globe and really enjoy the cultural experiences it brings. This also gets me in trouble as I'll readily use Aussie or Brit slang in inappropriate situations, causing a problem now and then. (Hence the geek/nerd cred a requirement.)

Currently getting lost in bouldering at the Seattle Bouldering Project to work up a sweat and test my body in new and fun ways. I'm only hitting v2s at the moment, but I've been trying some new techniques and focusing more on thinking through the problem than brute forcing my way thru the problem. (Feel free to ask me to explain this, I'm happy to discuss it.)

Unfortunately, in October of 2011, I suffered an injury that I still have not fully recovered from. Its been interesting forcing myself to learn and grow in a new way again. I find I am so much more grateful for every single degree of flexibility and every ounce of strength than I was before the surgery.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Troubleshooting sick unix systems, figuring out science fiction/fantasy plots, jumping at horror movies, maintaining open and clear lines of communication with friends, helping friends deduce the reasons behind their actions, injuring myself whilst snowboarding. In the console game wars, I'm definitely a ps3 guy. Nothing wrong with the XBOX 360, just like the blu ray player. (And it was a bonus from my office!) I know the console gaming world is kinda divided in the crips/the bloods/and the raver kids, so I'm definitely the crips there.

Edited to Add: I just got a XBOX 360 and like it.
Falling and or failing to esquiva correctly in the roda.
Knowing that random trivia question that my team needs to win Pub Quiz/Buzz Quiz TV!

Hanging from the top of the wall while I figure out the best place to crash land.

Because of my projector, I think I host some amazing TV Show/Movie Nights.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
We were talking-about the space between us all
And the people-who hide themselves behind a wall of illusion
Never glimpse the truth-then it's far too late-when they pass away.
We were talking-about the love we all could share-when we find it
To try our best to hold it there-with our love
With our love-we could save the world-if they only knew.
Try to realise it's all within yourself

You want to have a good conversation anywhere under the moon, I'm looking for an interesting date, floating between topics ranging from Politics, Science & Technology, Modern Science Fiction, Capoeira, English Football, Sounders (my Seattle team of choice), Food, Travel, and any hilarious story fit to share over a meal, pint, or coffee. Ideally, someone between 28 - 40 (age flexible), reasonably fit (I'm no muscle god, not expecting that), conversationally inclined, comfortable calling himself a geek/nerd, and kind. While I prefer sexually versatile men, I enjoy the company of more self-confident and slightly aggressive guys.
