Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
My name is Chris! I'm not great at these self-summary things.
Guess I'll start with the fact that I have a few passions in life.
It used to be CrossFit but I've moved on to Olympic lifting. I hope
to compete at least once in this year coming up.
My other passion is being a good person, a good friend, partner,
etc. I like to think that I'm positive most of the time, but
everyone has their good days and bad days. I try to motivate others
in their goals and daily lives and when I hear just ONE positive
feedback, I feel awesome!
I have quite a few hobbies and always looking for more. I like to
keep busy with my time off of work. I workout, hike, go for walks,
"trek around Bellingham" with no destination but to just get out
and about, reading from time to time, catching some roller derby
(...and watching my friends kick butt), movies, music, making my
own music and going out to different pubs around town and finding a
beer I haven't tried yet. Granted, I do other things, and lists get
long and boring.
I have a weird schedule that includes overnight shift work and
school. This makes it hard to get a relationship started, but why
not keep trying.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working and working out! Just earning my way through life to keep a
place, a car and everything that goes along with being an "adult".
I just finished my second quarter at WCC. Working my way towards a
nice ol' degree!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm not GOOD at it, but I'm always improving at my Olympic lifts.
Achieving new goals and hitting new PRs every time I go in.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm really quiet when people first meet me. My sarcasm, my honesty,
being blunt. Usually AFTER that, they notice I'm a great guy to
hangout with and to be around. I have also been told that I am very
positive, even when bad things happen. Forever the optimist!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: Anything by David Eddings
Movies: Too many to list, but my favorite of all time is
Shows: Scrubs, CSI, Big Bang Theory, Ghost Hunters (even though it
is fake), Sportscenter.
Music: 311 will always be my favorite out right. You give me a band
or artist, I'll give it a listen. I listen to pretty much anything
except for country. It is hard to get into country. My main genres
of music would have to be rock (of course) and EDM.
Some of my faves would include: Trapt, DJ Bl3nd, ATB, Armin van
Buuren, Drowning Pool, Skindrid, Course of Nature, Candlebox, The
Cars, Dave Matthews, Disturbed, Rob Zombie....list goes on and on
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Waterfront view and a cool breeze
Sunny Washington days and an IPA
iPod on my Oyster Dome hikes
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What my next goals are at the gym. Love hitting new levels of
awesome there. What my sleep schedule will look like with work and
school each quarter.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Depends, I'm on a rotation schedule so if I DO have a Friday night
off, I'm off trying to do SOMETHING. I like trying a new beer at a
local pub. I also like movie nights...who doesn't?
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
...you just want to. I look at it as even if we don't hit it off
and date, I get to meet someone new. Possibly a new workout buddy,
a new hiking partner, another beer lover, whatever the case.
