My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
If you take the time to enjoy the moments that make up this life, have passion and a positive attitude, are motivation to do well and can still find the humor in everything, then we will make each others already great lives even better.

I’m an adventurer at heart and I know we’d share many together! We’ll speed across Torch Lake in a high-speed boat with the warm summer air in our hair, then we’ll visit a beach and take our sandals off and feel the hot sand press between our toes before we take a refreshing dip in the bay. Another weekend, We’ll take a trip to Chicago and experience the pounding sounds of an authentic and gritty blues band before we head back to the hotel to dance in the moonlight.

What about me? I am a confident, optimistic, driven, perceptive, and not so easily rattled individual. Rarely at a loss for words, but I listen first. My most valuable asset is my sense of humor.

I did ask some friends what to say about this whole 'self-summary' thing. They told me that I'm "special" or "gifted". I think they're jealous that I can count to 10, or 20 with my shoes off, and even to 22 in the shower (don't ask). I surround myself with optimistic people who are going somewhere in life, and no, I don't mean KFC. I'm very open-minded with an international outlook, a risk- taker who is always up for a new escapade. I love dogs, meaningful conversations, and self reflection.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I have a career that I am successful at, but I am always working to be better and I am having a great time along the way! I feel that my purpose in life right now is to be there for those I care about and to enjoy the time I spend with them . . . that, and occupying various administration buildings!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
music? I play the guitar and dable in other musical instruments ...
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My smile ... "Seriously, what's up with your teeth? Why are they so white?" I hear these words or similar often ... I don't know why they are - I brush them, I guess?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books – I don’t read much fiction, but one of my favorites (which is fiction based on a true events) was” Devil in the White City.” I also liked the Bill Bryson Book “A Short History of Nearly Everything."

Movies – The Big Lebowski, Office Space, Requiem for a Dream, Boondock Saints, Anchorman, Old School, Superbad, High-Fidelity, Kill Bill, Batman trilogy, Avengers, ... I'm a movie lover in general - mostly witty comedies and action flicks, but I do like just about any genre.

TV - The Walking Dead, Sons of Anarchy, Parks & Rec, Law & Order SVU, New Girl, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Louis, Archer, and a lot of random History Channel stuff. I will say I'm not a big 'reality TV' fan.

Music – I like mostly rock/indie/alternative, but some days the classics like Johnny Cash are needed. My favortie band is The Foo Fighters, but some others include bands along the lines of Jimmy Eat World, Muse, Sublime, Anberlin, Bastille, Passion Pit, Cage the Elephant, The Black Keys, Florence and the Machine, The Killers, Mumford & Sons, Tool, Weezer, Train, Old Show Medicine Crow, AWOLNATION, Skrillex, Eminem, Lorde, Imagine Dragons, Kings of Leon, . . . I love rock music mostly – but I find all music enjoyable to some extent.

Food – I love pizza, but I prefer a good steak house, sushi bar, or brew pub when I go out to eat. Despite what I just listed, I actually eat pretty healthy on a day-to-day basis.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Not necessarily in this order, but . . .

My friends
My family
Sarcasm & witty banter
Inappropriate things at inappropriate times . . . keeps it interesting
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Time. I think about time. It is a funny thing. It is the only thing we can't fix, erase, or take back. It just moves along without opposition or consequence. It is the only thing that can be both shared, yet taken simultaneously. Regardless of its curious nature, what we do with it is up to us, and there is only so much of it before ours is gone. I feel that it shouldn't be wasted on people and causes you don't believe in.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Dinner with friends, staying in, going to a dive bar, dressing up for a nice evening on the town, going to a concert, staying at home and watching a movie, heading off for a weekend out of town. I don't have a routine for my Friday nights.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I pause after reading my fortune from a fortune cookie and try to decide if it actually applies to some aspect of what's going on in my life at that moment.
