My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a puzzlier, a travelaire, an explorist, a boostylitizer, and a novelier. I have been told that I've led an interesting life, but I think it's in sort of a Jerry Springer special guest (Darryl's super-secret transvestite lover) kind of way.

EDIT: Removing any mention of politics.

I'm starting to think that I'm pathologically trusting... For instance, I'm bearing my soul to the internet on a dating site. So far it's been pretty fun, so I think I'm going to stick with it (being pathologically trusting).

EDIT: Less convoluted.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm a software engineer at a financial reporting and analysis firm. I'm senior to some, junior to some. Lately, it's become mostly about the paycheck, which is kind of sad for me.

I would like to do post graduate work, but it's not really in the budget. Plus I have so much debt; mostly from the first round of schooling.

I play all different kinds of music (guitar and pipa, mostly) and I was once a fairly inspired visual artist, mostly working in ink and charcoal. I would like to be inspired again... I am not sure if the scorched-earth class war battlefield called Connecticut is really the place to find inspiration, but I suppose inspiration ultimately comes from within.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm really good at thinking about stuff. Especially stuff that has to do with predicting the behavior of abstract systems. I think this is largely due to the line of work that I'm in.

I am also good with my hands. I've been told I'm an adroit guitar player, although I've never really felt compelled to be a performer and no one ever uses the word 'adroit.' I mostly just enjoy it for its own sake, and don't have much interest in being a "rock star", although at some point in my teens I did. I also play pipa (a 4-string Chinese lute), and I'm an excellent typist, mostly because I type all day at work.

I'm pretty good at one on one strategy games. I'm a decent Go player (3k-6k on KGS-don't worry if you have no idea what I'm talking about, it's really cool. Trust me). I also lived with a really great chess player for a couple years in 2007-08 or so, and played lots of games with him, so some of his greatness rubbed off on me I'm sure. My chess skillz are probably a little faded by now, because I hardly play that much anymore (for lack of IRL opponents-I don't like to play chess on computers for some reason. Except BattleChess. That shit is classic!)
The first things people usually notice about me

I'm good humored and genuine. Also, I'm so masculine that I come across as feminine (:P). Also I'm covered with hair, so I guess just know that. All except the top of my head... That's actually probably really the first thing that people notice about me, which is kinda sad and kinda funny.

Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Sleep, Love, The Intertubes, Friends, Guitar, My Hands
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
All the songs that I've been meaning to learn, and the adventures that I lack the time to have.

Also, witty things that I should've said hours ago.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
sobbing into my pillow after realizing that my 'On a Typical Friday Night' section contains nothing but lies fabricated solely to make me seem interesting.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

I used to watch every episode of "My So-called Life." Actually, I think I'd probably watch it again. Grippingly Groundbreakingly, Unabashedly, Rivetingly profound teen drama I must say.

Also, this might be better under the "utterly idiotic things that you really shouldn't say but might if you have no ability to filter your thoughts whatsoever" section, but I don't see that so I'll put it here: I've had sex before and I liked it a lot (many of the times). So... I may want to do it again... If you find that offensive or weird, then... umm, we can do other stuff together. Or not.

... you think the practice of recess just before lunch (possibly after lunch as well. We can talk about this. I am flexible on the matter. I think it's awesome when the substance of a parenthetical outweighs that of the sentence that contains it. Maybe I won't even close these parentheses! Just kidding.) should extend into adulthood.
