My self-summary
I would consider myself a passionate artist and nerd. Most of my time is spent doing something with art and/or computers. On weekends I like to cut loose, go out on the town, and try to escape all the screens. I like to go see live music, dance, and eat at cool restaurants.
What I’m doing with my life
I’m a Graphic and web designer professionally.
I’d self-identify as an artist (sketching, digital painting, pixel art for video games).
I’m working on becoming well traveled. I’ve been to Italy and am heading to Ireland this year.
Working on advancing in the commercial arts industry.
I’m really good at
I’ve become a better artist than I could have hoped for. I can sketch in various media, digitally illustrate and paint, and design some really cool web sites and flyers. I’m also pretty good at coding which really allows me to do nearly everything for digital media on my own.
I went on youtube and learned to juggle. I’m always watching instructional videos and love to learn useless little talents like that.
The first things people usually notice about me
Usually it’s my glasses. I order mine online so I have about 5 pairs of glasses and 4 pairs of sunglasses. I’ve got some cool pairs and I always get compliments.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Harry Potter and LotR are my faves in fantasy but The Dark Tower by Stephen King is awesome too because it’s fuckin’ cowboys.
The Millennium Series (The books and both the foreign and domestic movies) but I still have to read the third book.
Alan Moore is my favorite writer and LoEG is a master stroke in both writing and art.
I grew up with Disney and Pixar movies so they’ll always hold a special place in my heart.
Quentin Tarantino & Woody Allen make amazing movies (faves would be Midnight in Paris and Pulp Fiction).
Sci-Fi & Westerns are my favorite genres so when you combine them *AHEM* Firefly *AHEM* you’ve really got something awesome
The BBC’s Sherlock is sooooo good but Elementary is good too
Game of Thrones… “Fuck the king”
I prefer Matt Smith over David Tennant in Doctor Who
True Detective was just about the greatest thing ever
My iPod always contains Gogol Bordello, The Cat Empire, The Black Keys, Tom Waits, The Roots, A Tribe Called Quest
The six things I could never do without
1. Sketchpad - I have to be able to sketch. It’s one of my favorite things to do,
2. Pencils
3. Smart Phone - It’s like a second brain. I’m constantly using it to look things up.
4. The Internet - Literally the largest collection of human knowledge ever compiled. Who would wanna live without it?
5. My Car - I need to be mobile.
6. My Computer - I use it for work.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Food, future, facts, Felina, and other f words.
On a typical Friday night I am
Friday is pretty chill for me but Saturday I usually go with my friends to local bars to hang out, drink (I don’t drink alcohol), and most likely tear up the dance floor.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I like shopping for clothes.
I own lots of shoes.
I have a board game collection that's better than yours.
My friends threw me a dinosaur themed birthday party when I turned 26 and I loved it.
