I am up, up, and away.

My Self-Summary

hey, my name is Tom, I go to Northeastern university in Boston to study biochemistry (crazy I know). Before moving to Boston I lived in London which was amazing; I have had adventures all over Europe and plan to have many more someday when I return. Lately I have not been travailing nearly as much because of the whole being in college/poor thing, but I still manage to wander when I can.

Music is a big part of my life; I love going to shows even if I have never heard of the band, for the most part random concert nights are a blast, except for that one time... I also love watching movies and am a big fan of the more artsy and surreal movies. I am always looking for chill people who shares some of my interests to go on crazy adventures with or get bubble tea and watch a movie.

What I’m doing with my life

Lots of school to become a scientist so that I can cure cancer, invent new drugs, build an army of robots to do my will, and win a Nobel prize.

I’m really good at

Science :D

The first things people usually notice about me

Im really tall so that is kind of hard to miss

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Music: Pink Floyd, Flaming lips, Ted Leo and the Pharmacists, Beck, System of a down, Tool, Radiohead, Arcade fire, the shins, CAKE, the beatles, modest mouse, Velvet Underground, The Pixies, and a ton more.

Movies: Eraserhead, Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, donnie darko, royal tenenbaums, The Big Lebowski, fight club, Snatch, pulp fiction, Rushmore, The Wall, Spirited Away, MST3k, 2001, a space odyssey, yellow submarine, and the city of lost children.

Books: Slaughter-house five (or anything by Vonnegut really)Stranger in a Strange Land, the hitchhiker's guide trilogy, 1984, A Scanner Darkly and also PKD's short stories.

TV: Firefly, arrested development, Venture bros, and others

Food: as far as food goes Im not terribly picky, but I do tend to prefer Asian (especially Thai) and Indian

The six things I could never do without

(good) music

Friends to keep me more or less sane

Watching Wes Anderson movies on the weekends in my boxers while enjoying some tea (anything by Michel Gondry or Tarantino is also acceptable)

good times

Light from the sun which I use to convert water and carbon dioxide into sweet, sweet glucose through a process called photosynthesis
...

On a typical Friday night I am

watching an awful movie and making fun of it with my friends (if you are a fan of mst3k I will automatically think you are awesome); I also enjoy drinking tea and arguing about whether a vampire bit by a zombie would become a zombie/vampire or visa versa (also which bear is best).

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I am a big supporter of free hugs Friday (AKA every Friday)

Also I don't really watch any sports *gasp*

You should message me if

if you want to, unless you are really a 50 year old man who wants to kidnap me and steal my organs so that you can sell them on the black market; im not into that.
