allow me to expand on the three adjectives that describe me:

determined - i find myself pulled to achieving and sometimes over-achieving goals that i establish. although i get distracted sometimes (which isn't always a bad thing regardless of what people tell you), i continue to work toward this "end." i'm good at what i do and that allows me to be successful and it helps me persevere when obstacles get in my way.

spontaneous - my mind wanders, i'm not gonna lie...and since i bore easily, i enjoy making quick decisions. some may say that spontaneity is foolish and it leads to regret, but i sincerely disagree. this moment's-notice type attitude affords me with the lifestyle of "work hard, play hard." in some ways, it helps keep me more on track.

chivalrous - i believe in being a gentleman and strive daily to be a better person. i believe that "good deeds" are contagious and that the whole world will benefit from each of us respecting one another.

just started a new job this week and i will be traveling the u.s. extensively! so, if you're in a different city, definitely feel free to hit me up. it'd be great to have friends in different cities that i can visit when in town for business.

my life has completely changed courses several times over since i left my job in may 2008. i thought i would be moving to nicaragua to work with orphans, widows, homeless and lost people. i had found [and still do] that i have a passion for the people in that country after going down there for a several "mission" trips. it's weird, really, since i thought that missionary work was beating someone with a bible. rather, i'm going to start practicing what i preach and let my actions speak for themselves.

so, that was all fine and dandy until i came out to my organization which decided it wasn't kosher to have a homo heading up things in a very conservative latin american country. it's eright, though, i'm looking forward to the future and seeing to what it has in store for me.

in august, i was studying in barcelona, spain in order to get certified in teaching english as a foreign language - one of the many projects i intended to begin in nicaragua...and may still do some immersion-type program.

so, i'm considering opening a coffee house locally and possibly an english school. and if i still have time, my own non-profit ... that's cool with the gays.

conversing with strangers...throwing parties...making people smile...making out...listening...neil diamond karaoke.

my big hair or that my clothes don't really match. as of late...i've been (to my dismay) told i look like a certain danny gokey from american idol. seriously...like people have come up to me in restaurants...wth?

(a) history of love, specimen days, extremely loud & incredibly close, harry potter(s), sex god, velvet elvis, blue like jazz, margaret atwood books, bartimeaus trilogy, at swim two boys, his dark materials, most kurt vonnegut (b) hedwig & the angry inch, ironman, me & you & everyone we know, once, the science of sleep, y tú mama también, get real; mrs. doubtfire; dancer in the dark; john waters stuff; best in show/waiting for guffman/a mighty wind; etc. (c) really - too many to list...but here's a few: radiohead; portishead; pulp; bran van 3k; bjork; pj harvey; garbage; cranberries; melissa ferrick, beirut, belle & sebastian, blitzen trapper, bob dylan, david bowie, decemberists; oh so much more... (d) was veggie for about 9 months may in the future go all organic, low-carb (not really, but whatev); italian; chinese; thai; american; mexican; cajun; etc.
