Okay, about me then...

I'm educated, I have a degree in English and philosophy in addition to my machinist training. So if you wanna talk about something, or nothing, great! If you wanna make something, well I'm definitely your guy.

More personally, I guess you could say I have a strong sense of justice and compassion. This might sound good on paper, but it can lead to some inconvenient situations...like the time I drove two hours to correct the amount of change I received...yeah.

Sometimes I get excited about things at random, and obsess over them for a variable amount of time…so if at midnight I were to call you with “YOU WON’T BELIEVE WHAT I JUST FOUND!” you’d have to at least not swear at me…much. If you tell me that you once learned to sword fight, or race on dragon boats, I might jump out of my chair and want to immediately rush down and try it myself. You may want to restrain me, or hell maybe you’ll just want to join me.

I think my sense of humour is goofy and ridiculous...but others always comment on my 'dry sarcasm'. So I guess that's me too. Admittedly, my favourite kind of joke is when you catch me staring at you with a half-grin, and have to take a moment to catch the absurdity.

Well, until recently I was very focused on my career. I worked hard to completely change directions professionally; it's safe to say I've achieved my dream job. Now I love getting up for work in the morning and find myself wanting someone to spend some of this free time with!

- Edit: A lot of people don't know what a machinist is. No, it's not like a mechanic. It's a bit tough to sum up in a few sentences, but suffice it to say that it means I have a job and I will always have a job. Demand equals stability, I suppose.

Making things, writing things, fixing things...long conversations about silly things, or serious things.

The big hug? I don't know, people don't normally volunteer that...

Oh...it's a really long list...let's see, right now I'm listening to a lot of Iggy Pop, The Kinks and Metric. Tomorrow it might be metal, or classic rock.

Books...hmm, I don't read much anymore. I think the last thing I read was Othello...wait, no, it was Life of Pi. Right now I'm reading The Thought Gang, and about to start The Successor.

I don't watch movies anymore. I've been on my nutrition/health kick for so long I rarely consider food in terms of taste. I guess that means my 'favourite' food is tuna!

Ah, I guess my place in the world, just like everyone else. Whether we need all these things we surround ourselves with, maybe we would be better off with a little more adversity in our lives, why I'm still pushing around that damned suspension fork on my bike when I hardly ever go off-road anymore...

In the gym, more often than not I'm afraid! Otherwise, preparing for whatever weekend adventure I have planned.

I'd rather be having dinner with some charming company!
