My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
“Being a geek is all about being honest about what you enjoy and not being afraid to demonstrate that affection. It means never having to play it cool about how much you like something. It’s basically a license to proudly emote on a somewhat childish level rather than behave like a supposed adult. Being a geek is extremely liberating.”

What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I graduated a few years back and like so many others I haven't really moved up in the world, though not for lack of trying. I've altered my goals to be less career oriented and more about just enjoying and improving my life.

I've got a decent job and I'm working on a plan to build or buy my own modest little eco friendly energy efficient house. Things are starting to take off so I might be a homeowner soon! I'm very excited, and maybe a little nervous.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I've found that I'm not a bad cook. My favorite dish to make for friends is pizza. Maybe I'll make one for you sometime.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I really enjoy making people laugh. Anyone who has been around me for a long time knows I have a habit of embellishing or outright inventing stories to entertain. If I can get a laugh out of someone I'm a pretty happy guy.

Physically, the first thing you may notice is probably that I sport a full beard. I don't see other guys with face fur very often.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Most recently I've been reading The Dresden Files.

I generally enjoy movies that don't take themselves too seriously. If they can wink and nod at the audience to say "yeah this is ridiculous, but just go with it" I can suspend disbelief and enjoy it. Serious movies just seem difficult to do well.

I don't watch any current television since I dropped cable, but I have Netflix and an antenna so I don't feel like I'm really missing anything.

My musical tastes are pretty varied. My car radio is set to country, but I love electronica and techno. Growing up I listened to a lot of 70's and 80's rock, so that also holds a special place for me.

I'm not a picky eater, but I am trying to be a healthier one. To a degree I'm eating healthier foods, but I'll still have a burger or pizza, just less often than I used to.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Companionship: Friends, family, and maybe even you.
2. Solitude: I need to recharge my social batteries regularly.
3. Technology: I like my gadgets and gizmos.
4. Travel: I love SD, but this world is too big for me not to explore.
5. Stories: Books, movies, games, tall tales, legends and lies.
6. Sushi: I love unagi. Grilled eel and that special smokey sauce.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Where I am right now, where I want to be and how to connect those dots.

What I can do in my daily life to make a difference in the world. You don't have to do much to brighten someone's day or to make things just a little better. A little every day adds up.

My own mortality.

"The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don't always soften the bad things, but vice-versa, the bad things don't necessarily spoil the good things and make them unimportant."

-Doctor Who
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Out and about Downtown venting a little steam from the work week, catching a new movie at the theater, or playing poker with my friends.

On less exciting evenings I enjoy putting in a little extra time in the gym, staying in and reading or putting in a few hours on whatever video game I happen to be playing at the moment.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm not really sure exactly where I stand when it comes to religion/spirituality. I have way too many questions that have never really been answered to my satisfaction but at the same time I can't deny a feeling that there might be something greater. I figure that as I live my life I'll gain a clearer understanding of things but I doubt that I'll ever have a solid idea on the subject.

If you are looking for something serious. I mean, not right away, but if you aren't really ready for that sort of thing yet you should keep looking.

If you want to get dressed all nice and fancy for a night of drinks only to return home that evening disheveled, drunk and disorderly.

I may not have ever been a boy scout, but lets just say I like to play with rope.
