My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am an artist, though I don't like using that word about myself, so I say I make drawings and paintings and especially prints. I also teach "full time" in a local college. ( full time = 10 hours a week). I own my own home and have a converted garage - studio in the back yard.
I have a son, a recent college graduate, who I see often. I spend substantial time trying to move him from the computer into the world.

Humor is a big thing for me.
Movies:comedies like.... Some like it Hot, Flirting with Disaster and the Big Lebowski. Other genres: Wings of Desire, The Godfather, Silver Lining Playbook, Metropolis, I'm not there, My Dinner with Andre, Fellini, ....awaiting the next Mad Men

Also, spirituality plays a big part in my life- although I'm more interested in the 'spiritual, but not religious' aspect - any philosophy or teaching that helps us stay in this present moment. Of particular note are the teachings of Eckhart Tolle, J. Krishnamurti, G. Gurdjieff.

I play guitar and also Blues Harp in the style of Little Walter.
I like books - Henry Miller, The Beats. The Amazing adventures of Kavalier and Clay. The Wonder Boys. Biographies. Books about quantum physics.
I like almost all music, but I love Dylan, Leonard Cohen, Tom Waits, The Decemberists, Louis Prima, Fleet Foxes, Ray Charles, Nina Simone, Johnny Cash, Etta James, Van the Man, ..far too many to list here. And the artists, i guess it's the classics - Vermeer, Rembrandt, Hopper, Wyeth....
I could go on and on, at the risk of unveiling my true narcissism... If any of this resonates, please drop me a line. I'd like that.
"The past is never dead. It's not even past."
"If you think you are so enlightened, go spend a week with your mother".

In relationships, I am very independent and appreciate and seek that in others. I also find honesty very important, so, if, for instance, your age is not really your age, it's not a good way to start a relationship. That's about the only non negotiables I can think of...
