I am hilarious, spicy, and independent.

My Self-Summary

Hmm, what to say. I do my thing, it's a good thing I think, involving lots of active time, a fair bit of friend time, good food, good drink, as much sarcasm as possible and plenty of laziness.

What I’m doing with my life

I just moved here and I'm a little out of sorts. I know almost nothing about this city, but I like what I've seen so far. My alter ego works at a hospital doing some administrative, clinical stuff (ask if you really want to know more, but most people don't) which I really like. I was an art history major, which was fun but useless, and I will probably be looking to get an MBA soon.

I’m really good at

Problem solving - it's mostly what I do in work, and my friends seem to feel I'm pretty good at it generally. Also, motivating - I'm known for convincing people to go out when they're tired, play a game when they're being a bummer, go out for some tennis when they'd rather stay home. Equally though, I am excellent at leisure. It's harder than you might think - knowing how much unscheduled lazy time to give yourself before your brunch date, that sort of thing. I am the closest thing to a human IMDB you will ever meet.

The first things people usually notice about me

Um, I don't know, I'm not them. As far as I can tell, people seem to notice that I'm pretty mellow and have a good sense of humor. I'm hard to rattle.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Favorite authors are better: Vonnegut, Wolfe, Delillo, and Klosterman.
Movies: Reality Bites (to know it is to love it), Lebowski, anything Wes Anderson, Half Nelson, Ordinary People, Lost in Translation, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Music: Almost anything. I write an awesome (in my opinion) music blog with my friends and it's about as broad as it gets. Love live shows.
Food: Mexican! and just about anything else.

I didn't think I was a hipster, but I feel like one around here.

The six things I could never do without

My bed, my bike, my records, mint chocolate chip ice cream, scotch, baseball.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Health care. It's what I do, and before that I did health policy, so I am pretty much doomed. I also think about music and art a lot.

On a typical Friday night I am

Dining/drinking with friends or being lazy.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I am pretty OCD I've realized. Not like, germ a phobe OCD, but I am, let's say, fastidious.
