My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I make a true effort to find ease and humor in life. If you see me laughing to myself it is more likely I just amused myself and am not laughing at you. Well, unless you just did something funny. I love stupid jokes.

I say thank you to waiters, wave at people that let me into line of traffic or stop to let me cross the street, and I try to smile at people I pass.

I'm a women that likes to be truly feminine but at the same time likes to dork out about many things (certain sci-fi shows, movies, yoga and much, much more).

I'm opinionated and independent but will listen with interest. I admit, I do not know it all.

I like to get dressed up and drink martinis. I also equally like to drink cheap wine or whiskey by a campfire in the woods.

I'm happy alone but would love to find a kind man that makes me laugh to share experiences with.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Teaching yoga, spending time with friends, relaxing at home, working hard, planning a trip to Scotland and France that may or may not happen next year, reading, looking for love....
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
What an interesting question... here are some answers ... silly and serious.

Being a supporting, caring friend
Listening to your problems and giving you honest feedback
Not being flighty
I am quite grounded and realistic
It is an artform to skillfully wear 4 inch heels (you can take me out of NYC but you can't take NYC out of me). You know what I mean if you have seen some girls wobbling around. Painful to see but also quite amusing.
drinking coffee (to answer an opposing question.. I am horrible at starting my day without said cup of coffee)
asking for help when I need it and offering help when others need it.
Frequently amusing myself.. usually with a one liner from Monty Python, Eddie Izzard or other British humor. (what can I say, I know how to amuse myself if anything)
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Depends on the context...

In writing... that I am a horrible speller
In person... I never really asked so this is a good question. I have been told my hair

then gave in now I love them); Lord of the Rings, Lamb, etc etc etc.

Movies - Amelie, Tiger and the Snow, Life is Beautiful, Across the
Universe, Fight Club, In Bruges, The Princess Bride, Private Eyes,
When Harry Met Sally, James Bond, Monty Python, etc. etc. etc

Food - Thai and Indian are high on the list. I have been vegetarian
for over 20 years now but have a dislike for those who preach about it.
To each his own. You eat meat? that's cool. It isn't a deal
breaker. I have been amused as of late with the worry about me
being a vegetarian and allowing this to be a deal breaker of their
own. I still go out to eat at restaurants, I can eat my food and be
at the same table watching you eat yours. I think the only things
that I have had to draw a line was watching someone eat haggis or
kissing someone just after they ate a hot dog. Other then that...
all is good. really.

Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Enjoying a day off. Either crashing for a movie and dinner or maybe going out for a drink. Maybe even going out dancing. Either way, I usually have no expectations just because it is Friday night.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
hmm. I have a crush on David Tennant. I have fallen for Doctor Who. I can't help it. witty, silly and clever. great combo. And of course talent.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
Well, it all depends. You could just not do anything and hope that a serendipitous moment happens. Or, you could send me a message to let me know you are out there and interested in conversing and maybe sitting down to have a drink or a coffee.

So I recently wrote that I was not interested in 20 something's and like a true 20 something they took it as a challenge. I started getting double the amount of messages by 19-25 year olds.
Still not going to date you.

Also gentlemen, please don't fall into the typical Portland mentality of women get hit on all the time so I'm not going to make the first move. Please put yourself out there. You may or may not get a reply but that's the risk we all have to take.
