I am funny, smart, and amorevolous.
My Self-Summary
I like flirting, cooking, drumming, walking, singing, dancing,
juggling, poi-ing, frisbeeing, bicycling, yogaing. I also like
cities, street performers, stonework, trains, maps, computers, and
animation. I like Art Nouveau and graffiti. I like talking about
important issues and deep subjects, and laughing about silly stuff.
I am empathetic and caring. I also like black cats.
My favorite place to be is in the forest. But all places have a
sacredness to me; a place doesn't need to be beautiful to have a
soul. I am very place-centric.
I like kissing and holding hands. Skipping down the sidewalk is not
a crime.
What I’m doing with my life
I have always had amazing creative ideas of
what-I-want-to-do-when-I-grow-up, and yet somehow I keep sticking
with the reliable gainful employment. I actually really like
computer programming, I am lucky to live in a time where my skills
can be so lucrative. But I have resolved to take practical steps
towards the next step for me, namely programming for myself. I am
making small steps, but at last, I'm moving in the right direction.
Because as soon as I get past my first idea, I have way too many
more to get through. I also tend to want to save the world, but I
gotta be me first.
I’m really good at
Drumming and dancing and the rhythmic arts. Cooking and eating and
the gustatory arts. Writing and cogitation and the wordsmitheric
arts. Drawling and stretching and fainting in coils.
I'm really good at tossing pizza dough up in the air.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm dancing. Everywhere I go.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books: Alice in Wonderland.
Movies: Koyaanisqatsi.
Music: Squirrel Nut Zippers.
Food: I like food. Local, organic, fresh. When I cook, I don't
follow recipes, I get the best ingredients I can and let them
whisper their secrets to me, and invent something marvelous.
The six things I could never do without
I try not to be attached to things anymore. I am paring down,
keeping it simple. Oh, OK, I'll play.
1) Sharp pencils and good erasers.
2) Internet connection.
3) New Yorker.
4) New York City.
5) Sandwiches.
6) Rhythm.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The mess the world is in, and the potential world we could have if
we just let a little love in.
On a typical Friday night I am
Fridays I am hangin' with my main man, E. He is 12, and we like to
go out to dinner, and walking up to the square and over to the drum
circle.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I don't know how to lie.
