My self-summary
I heard on Dinner Party Download that there was a study done and these are the words that attract women on OK Cupid:

I feel compelled to say something cute, witty and maybe even like, romantical 'n stuff! But I will defer to the professionals and keep what's written above.
What I’m doing with my life
Improving my skills in ping pong.
Trying not to be jealous of people with great dogs and/or missing mine. (I have a soft spot for pits. They're a misunderstood breed)
I’m really good at
I have the uncanny ability to always time lifting a car door handle EXACTLY as its unlocking so that it has to be unlocked again.
The first things people usually notice about me
My ass, and where the hell did it go?! (After discovering crossfit and Diesel jeans this may not be true!)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Some albums that changed my life:
The Clash - London Calling
Mother Love Bone - Apple
Pixies - Doolittle
Jane's Addiction - Nothing Shocking
NOFX - Punk In Drublic
Descendants - Everything Sucks
Radiohead - OK Computer
My Morning Jacket - Z
Prince - Purple Rain
Digable Planets - Reachin'
A Tribe Called Quest - Midnight Marauders
Paul's Boutique - Beastie Boys (Sigh...RIP MCA)
Gang Starr - Hard to Earn (RIP GURU)
Bob Marley - Catch A Fire
Pink Floyd - The Wall
Miles Davis - Seven Steps To Heaven
The National - Boxer

Books: Gatsby, The Road, Woman In White, Name of the Rose, Gone Away World, Cat's Cradle. Just finished The Enchanted by Rene Denfeld. I cannot recommend this book enough.

“If you go home with somebody, and they don't have books, don't fuck 'em!”
― John Waters

"Not everyone who drinks is a poet, some of us drink because we're NOT poets."
— Arthur (the original one)

Food: Italian, Mexican, Sushi, pho
The six things I could never do without
Mountain Bike
A good bourbon
A great dog. Note: I don't have a dog now, but only because I work too much and live in a one bedroom apt. Not fair to a pup.
You (awww, I put this here to show you I can be romantic too!)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I was watching this Q&A on PBS with Warren Buffet and Bill Gates (even though I'm a mac guy), they were at Nebraska and one of the students asked Warren his secret to success. He replied: I surround myself with people I admire and respect. I believe that if you surround yourself with people you admire, you'll emulate them, and you'll be a better person. We rise to the level of the people with whom we surround ourselves.

I buy into this philosophy wholeheartedly and feel fortunate to
have the circle of friends that I do.
On a typical Friday night I am
Usually something very mellow, crashing early to be up at the crack of dawn to go mountain biking or crabbing.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I always hang the toilet paper roll with the end of the roll facing out.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 30–45
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating
You should message me if
You recognize that even though at times the snooze button is your best friend, once you've pressed that button it'd be nice to roll over and lay your head on the chest of someone warm before you get up and face the day.

It's hard trying to sell yourself without sounding conceited, but I know how to be a good man to my woman. I gotta say, it's easy. I just treat my girl like my dad treated my mom.

Also, my past relationships have enabled me to be better by learning from them, not hindered my ability to be present because I'm still dwelling in them. Please share this quality.

I have lots more to say but figure a modicum of brevity works best here, so send a message, I'm always down for a cocktail or cup of coffee even if we seem like an unlikely match. It's been my experience that chemistry will often blindside you and it's best to keep an open mind.
