I moved out here from the East Coast a few years ago (Go Phils).
Most people say I'm sweet. On the other hand, I just took the humor
quiz on this site and got 72% dark. I've been working a lot lately,
but would like to meet someone to enjoy my free time with. I'm shy
at first, but after I meet someone and get to know them, I'm very
What I’m doing with my life
Mostly work. I just finished with 6 months of jury duty. That,
along with making up the time at work had me basically sitting and
sleeping all day nearly every day. Got WAY fat. Time to get into
I’m really good at
being funny (so my friends say)
researching stuff and explaining it
being totally cool on the inside and totally geeky on the outside
The first things people usually notice about me
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Movies - True Grit (Current Version); Scott Pilgrim; Black Swan;
007 movies; Superhero movies (if they're good); Quentin Tarantino;
the new Mission Impossible is totally badass. So was 13
Shows - Buffy; Firefly; 30 Rock; Community; Parks and Recreation.
Dr. Who, Top Gear, PBS documentaries.
Music - Rock - The Donnas, Nirvana (but I'm getting tired of them),
Rage Against the Machine; some classic rock like pre-sucky Stones,
old KISS, Hendrix, Sleater Kinney, The Breeders, some old school
metal; Jazz - John Coltrane, Miles Davis; definitely NOT country;
No saxophones in rock either (awesome in jazz, though).
Books - Historical stuff, mostly. Also the occassional thriller.
The new books by Tina Fey and Patton Oswalt are both really funny.
I'm eager to read the new Barry Eisler novel.
Food - Steak and some nice vegetables; spaghetti; chicken; I make
really good chili.
The six things I could never do without
Interesting books and magazines
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Whether it's too late to quit my job and start a career as a secret
agent or hollywood studio mogul (don't we all think we would
green-light the really good movies).
On a typical Friday night I am
Usually relaxing at home.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm dorky enough to think downloading lectures about Old English
from iTunes U is cool.
