I'm a single, Christian girl; living in Spring; working in downtown Houston; and dreading the daily commute! My relationship with God is very important to me, so I am looking for someone who feels the same.

I'm easygoing, sarcastic and always ready for an adventure... or a night at home on the couch. Really, both options work for me, as long as we have fun in whatever we're doing.

I work as a publisher for an energy investment bank downtown. Until recently, I had a second job that provided me all my challenges, outlets for creativity and my stress, so I'm currently looking for fun, creativity... but no more stress.

I'm kind of an entertainment junkie - I'm an avid reader (classic, chick lit, popular fiction) and I keep my TiVo full of new shows at all times. I enjoy comedy (current faves - Parks & Rec, New Girl and Big Bang Theory), drama (Mad Men and CSI) and competition shows (Survivor, but no Real Housewives for me!), but I draw the line at horror and gore (though zombies are okay - Walking Dead!).

My taste in movies is just as eclectic, but I do prefer a happy ending over a true-to-life one. I mean, we're seeking entertainment, right? Music - I like my music fast and with a decent beat. I'm always drawn to indie rock, but it's usually too slow for me to stay interested for long (perfect example - Mumford & Sons. Love them, but pick up the pace!). Sleigh Bells are top of the list right now, along with the Black Keys.

- Pets - current animals include a parrot, two cats and an office fish... I'm usually trying to talk myself out of getting more and/or stealing a dog or two from my mom's house

- down pillow - gives me a good sleep wherever (I have been known to stuff it in a FULL suitcase)
- TiVo

What I could spend the next minute/hour/day doing. Sometimes that means should I pick up a book or my computer, but I'm also looking for new/different experiences - hobbies, trips, memories, whatever.

Recouping from the work week or enjoying a dinner out with friends

I'm kind of nuts for animals. I practically grew up in a menagerie (or at least a diversified animal hospital), but also most of my dream trips are to areas where I can see wildlife.

My friends and family are afraid that I will try to pet a bear if I ever see one in the wild. They are not wrong.

My mother is not your shrink! (I don't mind if you *have* a shrink... it just can't be my mother.) Because she sees seriously crazy people, plus it's not a good start if my mother knows you better than I do!

You live in the Houston area. I'm not interested in using OKCupid as a jumping-off point for a long-distance relationship!
