My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm an Engineer by birth and by education. So, I'm a logical and critical thinker. I also tend to fall somewhat into the geek/nerd demographic by some of the things that I say, or some of the things that I like. I tend to be somewhat quiet and shy around new people, but I'm quickly able to warm up and let myself be my complete idiot self around them. I try to be a good, honest person. I love to make people laugh. I have a snarky sarcastic side to me. Combining the last two statements, it's not beneath me to have a funny comment and hold it in until the person I'm talking to starts to take a sip of their drink (and then hilarity ensues).

I've got the whole adult thing down, live on my own, support myself with a full time job, take care of my cat, etc. Just looking to add the adult relationship into the equation.

Looking for new friends as well as possible romance.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Doing the 9-5 thing during the week, trying to save up enough cashola to buy a house.

I like my job, and feel like what I do does make a difference.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
- Making people laugh
- Some video games.
- I'd like to say I'm good at bowling, but that’s a work in progress.

- I used to be good at going to concerts
- I'm not so good at cleaning up my apartment...
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Physically, probably that I have a limp.  Non-physically, I'd say that I can be easy to talk to.

Also, if I'm completely clean-shaven, I've also been told that I look a lot younger than I am. Knowing how old I actually am, that makes me feel both good and bad. :)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: Not much of a reader these days, but still love the Lord of the Rings books. I've read some Stephen King, and do have some more of his books waiting to be read.

Music: I tend to be all over the spectrum, but I like alternative the most. Recently have listened to Metallica, Pearl Jam, Shinedown, Seether, Portishead, Sara Bareilles, Fiona Apple, and some tv/movie soundtracks. I really am all over the place sometimes.

TV shows: I tend to like dramas. Some of the current ones I watch are: House (PLEASE COME BACK!), CSI, NCIS, Walking Dead, Criminal Minds, White Collar, Burn Notice, Warehouse 13. Recently finished Battlestar Galactica and Lost on Netflix. I'm also up for some of the non-reality based stuff on Discovery, TLC or Food Network. And lastly, I ADORE the newer Doctor Who.

Movies: I tend to go towards the dramas, but I have to admit that I'm a sucker for the romantic comedies. All-time favorite movies are The Usual Suspects and Batman Begins. Batman Begins started my man-crush on Christian Bale. I don't normally go to the theater to see movies, I tend to wait until they are released for home viewing.

Food: classic American fare, as well as Mexican, Italian, Indian, and I'm really willing to try almost anything. I do have my no-no foods, which include mushrooms, olives and bananas. Please keep those away from me.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
- The interwebs
- Bowling
- My cat
- Humor - oh how I need to have things to keep me amused
- TV - to help distress and unwind
- My fantasy sports teams - sure, it's kinda geeky, but I love it.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The meaning of life; the source of true happiness; if time travel is possible; why girls like bad boys; why my cat sits behind me and cries for no reason; why bottle-necks happen on the highway when a car is parked on the shoulder; what if life was more like a video game; why are Dilbert and Office Space so realistic; and other uber-serious ponderings.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Eh, I can be pretty boring, so my Friday nights aren't all that exciting.  Hoping to change that though!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I named my cat after a character in Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Great show...

You're also looking for awesome people. Or, if you like to have discussions about TV, the world, politics, etc. Also, if you're ok with potentially having soda come out of your nose at some point.
