My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
My name is Brad.

I'm a wee bit awkward until you get to know me. Plain and simple. I'm not the best conversationalist, but I'm a much better listener than speaker. That makes meeting people rather difficult. Which kinda sucks. But I swear, once you get to know me, I'm pretty awesome.

I absolutely LOVE to play guitar. I own 5 electric guitars and they are some of my most prized possessions. I play almost entirely by ear. I don't look up tabs or chords if I can avoid it. Though with some artists, it's just difficult to discern certain riffs by ear. Playing guitar can be a simple way to enjoy passing the time, or can be a very therapeutic activity for when I've had a rough day. I mostly play rock and metal, but I enjoy relaxing with a little Pink Floyd or other classic rock, now and then. (One of my guitars is a Stratocaster modeled after David Gilmour's)

I reeeeally wish I could play the piano.

I'm a bit of a nerd, seeing as how I write software for a living. And being such a nerd, I enjoy video games more than the average person. My big ones are Final Fantasy. Plus, I love the music from Final Fantasy games. I have a few of the soundtracks and they're all beautiful. While I understand a guy who plays a lot of video games isn't always the ideal candidate of "boyfriend", but we all have our vices, and one of mine happens to be video games. I am perfectly capable of going without them for long periods of time, I just like to play them if I have some downtime.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm a graduate (class of '12) of the Computer Science program at KU and I'm now a software (web) developer for a department in the School of Education at KU.

Just being me, for the most part. I have a stable job, so I'm not really looking to move for any reason.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Being sarcastic and thinking logically to a point that it hurts sometimes.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Honestly, I don't really know. The only really defining things about me that are readily apparent are my sarcasm and wit.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

- Some country now and then, I frequent The Ranch (a country bar here in Lawrence) (I put this at the top so the metal doesn't just immediately scare people off)
- Nobuo Uematsu (nerdy video game music)
- The Black Mages (nerdy video game music remade into metal)
- Avenged Sevenfold
- Five Finger Death Punch
- August Burns Red
- Oh, Sleeper

I'm a music lover of most forms. However, I much prefer those played on actual instruments, so electronic music and hip-hop are not in my preferences 99 times out of 100. My day-to-day music taste is usually hard rock and metal. I like going to the occasional concert, and I'm no stranger to Rockfest in KC.

But really, I don't read much (as in, maybe one book every few years), but the Dexter series was good. I read those a few years ago.

I like most food, be it Italian, Mexican, BBQ, you name it. Chipotle is a mild weakness, especially now that there's one between work and home. I also recently found a po' boy place in town just south of 8th and Vermont called Terrebonne. It's terrific. Go there and thank me later.
The six things I could never do without
