What can I say? I grew up in North Carolina. I moved toWashington D.C. area about a year ago after graduating from a woman's college. I work at a university in D.C. Relationships of all kinds - friends, family, etc. - are a top priority for me. I could go without a lot of things as long as the people I'm close to are nearby. Or at the very least a phone call away. I think I enjoy the simple things in life; those create the most happiness. I think I'm open-minded. I know I don't fit a stereotype and so I don't want to expect others to fit one. I'm honest and loyal which I expect from others. I hope that isn't a high expectation. I'm very independent and prefer to prove I can do things myself, but yet I want other people to allow me to help them if I can.

I love learning all kinds of things. Teach me how to play a new sport like racquetball. Tell me about what you're learning in a class. Share your politics or religious beliefs. Show me how make your favorite meal. I think I like learning about other people the most. I like reading about subjects that are academic too - women's studies, feminist theory, queer theory, political economy, 1920s Jazz Age history, art history and technique, and the list goes on. I have a lot of interests. And while you might not be able to tell unless you ask about these things, I'm a little bit of nerd.

I love to travel, even though I haven't been a lot of places. Experiences and creating new memories with my friends is amazing. Road trips are exciting! Especially if spontaneous.

Recently, I completed my B.A. in Communication Studies and Political Science. I plan on attending graduate school in the future. I'm trying to decide if I want to stick with a professional degree in Higher Education/Student Affairs or try for something more academic like Women's Studies. I'm waiting to discover which way I'm meant to go.

I just want to make a difference in people's lives, in a person's life, in some way. That's why I want to continue to work at a university or college. It's a huge time of transition and I think I can help students find their way.

B. Sometimes I like something that is serious and makes me think but sometimes I just need to see a comedy. Even if the comedy is mindnumbingly stupid. What About Bob?, Three to Tango, Almost Famous, The Breakfast Club, Mona Lisa Smile, Remember the Titans. I'm addicted to watching TV series' on DVD that aren't showing on TV anymore - Scrubs, West Wing, L Word, etc.

C. Pretty much anything. Anything which lyrics to which I can relate paired with great music from almost any genre and it'll end up on my ipod.

D. Italian, Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Mexican.

I could not live without my friends, challenges, my dreams, something to laugh about, something to do or work towards, and vacations.
