People have told me that I am an "accomplished musician."
I play several stringed instruments. I have a show every week with a few friends. Music is one of my favorite social tools.
I brew my own beer and like to have people over for cookouts quite a bit. The guests are usually old friends, parents, musicians, church friends, or some combination of these. I hardly ever go to a bar anymore unless I'm going to play a show or meet someone out.
The great outdoors is also important to me and I try to enjoy it with my favorite people. I will go on hikes by the river or around the neighborhood, sometimes with others even. I camp a few times a year, sometimes organizing a trip for friends. I also volunteer with the Scouts (where i did a great deal of growing up).
I volunteer at a railway museum, working on steam locomotives. We have a couple engines that we actually fix up and then use them to pull trains that our visitors can ride. We also paint the other engines that do not run so that they look nice.
My house is a project as well. It is exactly 100 years older than me. So, I have needed to make some improvements and repairs. I also have been rebuilding a Chevy El Camino (is it a car or a truck?) in my garage.
