Music has been a big part of me since an early age. I play banjo, guitar and a few other things. My main music is Bluegrass and I have a regular show with a small group and sometimes get out to play other shows too. I have also built 5 guitars and helped a friend build one. Music is one of my best social tools and I've made many great friends from it. I'm always up for a good jam session.
I volunteer at a railway museum, working on the steam locomotives, something I wanted to do since I was little. Working on steam is a lot of work but very rewarding when we run the engine for visitors. Well, that's work too, since then I have to shovel the coal...
My main rule when cooking or making beer is "Never follow someone else's recipe." It keeps things fresh. I enjoy having a backyard grill-out every so often.
I try to camp a few times a year still. I have a few favourite spots and i usually stick with them. Swimming and sailing are essential and outdoor cooking is an art unto itself. Quality fire time is also very important, whether it's in the backyard or many miles away.
A project house (Built in 1890) and a project car\truck (84 Chevy El Camino) cap off my busy life and "endless projects."
