My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Check back in with me. I'm just getting started. This is my first dip in the online dating pool and it kind of freaks me out so I'm going to take it slow. Interesting details to follow soon.

Here's a bit about what I'm hoping to find in a partner...
kind/quick witted/sees me as an equal - on the same team/interested in travel (local, national, international)/a man with passion in his heart - for life, living, learning/a compatible sense of humor/a communicator - some things simply must be talked out/somewhat versed in sarcasm but able to face the serious issues with focus/someone not so much looking to be taken care of but to share a caring loving existence/a good kisser - I think kissing is important/musical sensibility that doesn't put Journey high on the must hear list. Really I don't believe that this is too much to hope for but that it's a solid start. =}
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
It's Sunday morning. I'm watching news shows, reading the paper, doing the crossword and drinking coffee. Brunch a little later would be nice.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
impromptu cooking, reading the minds of birds, flossing, making small children smile, petting dogs, helping people feel at ease.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books - mostly fiction. Some biographies. A good plot twist keeps me interested.
Shows - I'm a big fan of theater and opera. I used to do some stage work so I'm always open to seeing a show. Community theater to the Lyric, I'm in. My days on stage are behind me but I'm happy to support those who find joy in doing it for themselves.
I'm a music lover. I'm looking forward to the concerts in the park starting up again.
TV - I like smart and funny. I miss The West Wing but am enjoying Scandal. The Big Bang Theory is on my radar. The News room. The Daily Show for sure.
As for food - count me in. I love to cook for my friends as well as trying interesting restaurants in the city. We have so many options here why not try them all? I commented to someone not long ago that I'm surprised just how much my life revolves around food and drink. This is a good thing.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What do people with nose rings do when they have colds? Does the ring stay in or do they take it out? This is not something I want first hand knowledge of but I'm curious.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Typically taking it easy. Friday nights can be rough after working all week. Dinner or drinks with friends. Maybe a movie. Maybe at home with a book.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I cry at baseball movies. What can I say, the heart swells. More than that? You'll have to get to know me. Do people really give up the goods in this forum?
