I am honest, thinking, and kind.

My Self-Summary

Just another guy...
I'm here to meet friends and/or partners for life. Possibly an acquaintance of the oposite sex for a brief fling (but I prefer long term relationships).
I'm not a religious person but I do have spritual beliefs (NOT a scientologist mind you) which are open for debate with anyone.
If I have to choose between music or math... I will choose music.

What I’m doing with my life

Trying my best to fulfill my duties to my employer to whom I owe my se3.4jflk¤%JL2k34¤#%¤%.. Ah, never mind! I'm currently taking my work seriously but I also take time to advance in various intellectual persuits (music theory/mathematics) for my personal pleasure and trying to find out what I want out of life.

I’m really good at

Being polite.
Knitpicking (in a kind and supportive way... I think).
Walking (a lifetime without a car/bike helps)
Talking (... I really need to be told when to shut up sometimes) and comforting people.

The first things people usually notice about me

My wide smile (and fast talking).
Possibly my lack of height... but I'm not too sensitive about it.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Oliver Twist, Hamsun's "Hunger", The Glass Bead Game (complicated... but I think I get the general idea), Gilgamesh (google it! Please, google it!) (books)
2001: A Space Odyssey, Dr. Strangelove (movies)
Tjaikovskijs first piano concerto (childhood memory)
Beef Kofta (if cooked properly), Skomakarlåda (look it up).

The six things I could never do without

1 My sense of humour.
2 My radio-tape collection (that's like a CD/mp3-collection for you kids...).
3 My eyeglasses
4 My lucky pair-of-socks (yes, I do have a pair! And, trust me, if you were wearing them now you would know what I mean). Um... I really don't have a pair of lucky socks but I needed an item 4, so...
5 My trusty laptop (getting old... getting stronger!)
6 My pool-cue (made especially for me by Nandor Baghi)

I spend a lot of time thinking about

How I can make this world a better place (a bleeding heart regarding certain African countries) and why "melody" isn't necessarily music. Also... could there be life on Europa? Beneath the ice, I mean.

On a typical Friday night I am

At my place reading a book... or... at a place called "Bagaren" drinking just the right amount of lager. Unless I'm watching "Columbo" on DVD of course (which I would... also... do at my place).

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

My grandma gave me a teddy at age 6. It's still watching over me from the top of the bookshelf in my living room.

You should message me if

You want to to meet up and have a chat (that's IRL kids!). I'd be happy to take you to the restaurant of your dreams (well... that's my dream actually) for some piercing... innovative... thoughtful... respectful... hot discussion of whatever world problem you fancy to solve at the moment (please keep Africa in mind... um, not that Africa *as such* is a problem).
Or I'll just pick up the tab and leave quietly.
