I'm an adventurous and fun loving professional man who is stable, calm, solid, non-pretentious, very down to earth and genuine. I'm a low stress kind of person and I'm very laid back. My glass is usually half full. I easily find enjoyment in simple things. I feel comfortable working on my house and yard or helping to pass legislation and everything in between. Some people describe me as a Renaissance Man: A person with many talents or interests. I'm interested in living a healthy lifestyle, by what I eat, what I do and how I react to life in general. I don’t smoke and I drink very little. Of course, I do not do drugs of any kind. There isn't much drama in my life, which is a good thing. Because of my laid back nature, I don't sweat the small stuff! I wouldn't be considered religious, but spiritual. Life is a worship service in itself!

I like doing things outdoors like biking, hiking, skiing, camping (you don't have to camp though) and just about anything else outside. I also like to couples dance like swing, Latin, CW and more more (I’ll teach you!). I am very spontaneous. I take advantage of the many opportunities for fun and interesting events in the area. I like day, weekend or road trips to the mountains or cross country.

I can fit in anywhere in any situation and I like to socialize, but I also like to spend one on one time with a woman who is special to me and focus on her. I love to show affection to the right woman. I have a sense of romance and passion and I would like to meet a woman that can appreciate a man that treats her very special.

I don't expect someone to have an interest in everything I'm interested in. I'm not looking to meet someone perfect, I'm looking to meet someone to love. I'm not prepared to die of old age waiting for the perfect person to show up, like obviously a lot of people on this site and other sites are willing to do. I'm unwilling to miss all the things that are better in life shared.

I'm interested in meeting a real person who is stable emotionally and other ways in their life, wants to enjoy life and knows how to develop and maintain a quality and pleasant relationship. I'm interested in meeting one special woman and develop a relationship rather than date a lot of women. I prefer that she be in reasonable shape so she can share my active interests with me. If you are feminine but have a little bit of tomboy in you, that's a big plus. I much prefer to meet someone fairly quickly rather than days or weeks of email and phone chatting. My son just started college so now I'm looking forward having more time to myself to enjoy life and venture out more without the worry of raising a kid! (Something tells me my worries aren't over!)

I like movies where events occur to allow someone to overcome personal limitations, such as The Five Feathers, Saving Private Ryan, The Patriot.

I don't have much time to read for pleasure, but when I read it's usually technical book related to my job or financial material realated to my interests.

The music I listen to is a very wide uncommon variety. I like to couples dance to different types of music. I like most music: Top 40s from the 40s on up, Country (OMG!) Classic Country (double OMG!), Latin, Cajun, Folk, Smooth Jazz, some Blues, some 40s Big Band type swing new and old (Old: "In The Mood", etc, New: Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Cherry Poppin Daddys), bluegrass and classical. I like just about all music (except maybe rap).

I rarely watch TV, so I don't have a favorite show with the exception of Dancing With The Stars and So You Think You Can Dance.

I'm adventurous when it comes to food, so I'll try about anything. I'm a pretty good cook myself. I do like Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese, Mexican, Cuban and home cooking (are any women left who can cook?).

Other than a good vehicle and the necessities of life (having fun is a necessity), there isn't much I can't do without.
