My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Read what's below - I didn't fill it in for nothing, you know ;-)

I am creative, musically inclined, and enjoy language.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Enjoying life as a teacher. I get to design everything from the ground up and that's a great feeling.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Words - I excel at them. I marvel over them and love them.
I enjoy mucking about with Photoshop, designing various things. And I create music, which happens to combine quite handily with writing lyrics and designing band promotionals.

Apparently, I'm pretty darn good at being a teacher as well. Which comes in handy when it's your job. Currently teaching Dutch as second language to a bunch of 11-19 year olds.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My eyes. My smile. And the fact that I have such a youthful appearance ;-)

LotR triology, Stephen Donaldson - Chronicles of Thomas Covenant the Unbeliever, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, C.J. Cherryh - The Dreaming Tree, Discworld series by Terry Pratchett, mythology, history, Dark Tower series by Stephen King, Midas Dekkers, Frank Herbert - Dune series, A.C. Doyle - Sherlock Holmes, Complete Works - Malory, The Riverside Chaucer, Godverdomse Dagen op een Godverdomse Bol - Dimitri Verhulst, Alles over Tristan - Tommy Wieringa, Twee Vrouwen - Harry Mulisch.

Monty Python's Quest for the Holy Grail, Blues Brothers (original), Spinal Tap, Princess Bride, Spaceballs.

I don't have a TV, nor do I miss having one. I rarely, if ever, watch films either.

Metal and more specifically bands that have evolved beyond metal. (Ephel Duath, Waltari, Lux Occulta, Manes, Shining (NO), Deathspell Omega, Gorguts, Ulcerate, Mayhem - but also more regular stuff like Strapping Young Lad, Amebix, Marduk or Skyclad.)
Jazz, Classical and various other oddball stuff. Man Man, Hexvessel, Virus, Skinny Puppy, Killing Joke, Krang, Dirge, Wovenhand / 16Horsepower. Heck, I could continue for ages. Long story short, my taste in music is expansive and eclectic. Odds are most it won't be played on the radio at all.

Anything that tastes good. Keep the broccoli away please. Not a vegetarian, nor vegan. Not inclined to become one, though I have no issue with skipping meat for a day.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
My band, how I am going to become a better teacher, lyrics I'm writing, stuff I'm working on.

Looking at the line above, I almost get the impression I'm rather self-centered. Let's just call it 'focused' instead, shall we?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
and at any other day I am as well. Amazing, innit?
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I -really- dislike duck face pictures.
