My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
My life has been a grand and adventurous one thus far, not without its rough terrain. I have amazing friends, a hopeful outlook, and I am ultra curious about the world and our places in it and so there is never enough time for all that intrigues me. I have wide-ranging passions and interests and exploration is vital. I have an unquenchable thirst for travel and feel that it is in the journey where life is lived (though goals and objectives are our road signs). I am exceedingly independent and while I have always had remarkable people in my life, I am also quite comfortable whenever I am alone -- a loner often surrounded by remarkable people. But life is so much better when shared with someone special and so I remain open to finding her. She is a rarity: vibrant-minded, beautiful (to me), big-hearted, kind, genuine, compassionate, impassioned, adventurous, independent, strong, sweet, fashionable, elegant, edgy, positive, hopeful, open, her own person. I'll know her when I find her -- maybe she'll be at Comicon or some Halloween party dressed as Catwoman or Selene from Underworld or Wonder Woman. Or the stuff of cheesy romance films (for I am indeed a cheesy romantic): perhaps we'll share the car of a train gliding over the French countryside or maybe we'll simultaneously reach for the same mango at a fruit stand or it could be that our dogs' leashes will entangle us on the sidewalk (though I don't have a dog). Or, far less appealingly (but such is the way of the modern world), we'll connect here in the ether and enjoy an excellent rapport and feel the need to meet in person -- not because we just want a date, but because we're so intrigued by each other's mind and heart that we need to see whether or not the physical chemistry nears the mental/spiritual connection. I don't care where or how I meet her, I would just like to meet her. But if I don't, there is a vast, beautiful universe out there to explore. And to all my fellow seekers in it, I wish you all the best.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.

I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
The too-compelling sound of a woman's artfully-designed, daringly-worn, booted heels moving on a hard surface.

The musical falls of bangle bracelets as a strand of hair is pushed back over a delicate ear.

Words. Ideas. Words about words. Ideas about ideas. Words about ideas. Ideas about words.

Squadrons of chevron-formed pelicans gliding by, preferably at eye level.

Art (in all its forms -- particularly film, music, painting, sculpture, literature, architecture), -- world travel, philosophy, science, nature, great conversation, good food, a well made anything.

Interests and passions aside, there is really only one thing that I cannot ever do without; for all things were brought about through him: Jesus Christ. And since every particle in the universe is radically contingent upon him, he is the one thing that you also can never do without .. whether you admit that or not.

Oh, and bees.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
That there is literally no place on earth that I do not wish to experience.

How frequently improperly the word "literally" is used.

How infrequently the word "irony" is applied ... which is actually terribly ironic.

The incomprehensible love and compassion and gloriously beautiful condescension of God; how what we do can never achieve his standards -- and how easily and consistently we fall in opposition to them -- but how forgiving he is. And I often think of his aesthetic -- "There's so much beauty it could make you cry" ~ Modest Mouse

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You're a nerd or a dork or an unabashed geek ... with great shoes.

Or you're super cool, but could care less about it and likely have no idea that you are.

You find beauty in small gestures and profundity in what is often overlooked. You strive for personal integrity and societal betterment. And as cool or as dorky or as elegant or as clumsy or as sexy or as awkward and misunderstood as you may be, you prefer smiles to scowls and you abide in hope and love and the promise that the future is well worth looking forward to. And as edgy or as apple pie as you are, you esteem sweetness as highly as anything else..

You're Megan Draper before she met Don ... or after she tires of him. Or better yet, you're Winifred Burkle. Even better still, you're non-fiction.

Actually, reduce all of the above to this: I simply want someone who is dedicated to Christ, is genuine and kind, has an adventurous spirit, and is someone with whom there is palpable, enviable chemistry ... and who enjoys being read aloud to.
