I'm a reformed liar, a dedicated hack, and a firm believer in the infinitude of human potential. I love hiking, browsing through old bookstores, garage sales and landfills. I also love writing misleading self-summaries and confusing the sh*t out of people. As you will soon realize, I start out as completely sane but quickly lose my patience with quotidian reality and always try to inject a certain amount of fun (read madness) into usually mundane activities.

Faffing about wasting time instead of taking over the planet. 'Being the change' is a pretty thought and all, but only action begets results.

Self-sabotage? False modesty? Not being able to fill out questionnaires on dating websites? Writing, I suppose. Me good am words.

My crazy hair which is currently all over the place, my almost total lack of sanity, and my huge clown feet. In that order.

Favourite books are way too many to list out here, but I usually like surreal fiction, think Salman Rushdie, Umberto Eco, Italo Calvino, BORGES! and at the other end of the spectrum, historical non-fiction/semi-fiction, stuff like Valerio Massimo Manfredi writes, or Isaac Asimov's history of the western world. Lately I find myself drawn to books on Asian philosophy and ancient history as well. I grew up reading Arthur C. Clarke, and grew into Thomas Pynchon but I still haven't finished reading V. I love comics, especially ones by Warren Ellis. Current favorites include the Daytripper series, Scalped, Unknown Soldier, and Hellblazer. Oh who am I kidding, I'm a total book slut, I'll read anything I can get my grubby little paws on.

Feel pretty much the same way about movies. Musically, I have strange tastes. Think Type O Negative in the morning and Dave Matthews Band in the evening, Sinatra on the weekends and The Cure on Fridays.

I'm a total foodie, and I'll eat anything prepared with a decent amount of care and effort. Especially street food. Someday I'd like to travel around the world, sampling street food from all over.

meh. I could give everything up in a minute, never been too keen on materialism. And people aren't things or this would be a list of my six favourite people. Which would be a tough one to compile since I'd be hard-pressed to pick and choose from all my friends. So, yeah.

sometimes, up late at night when i can't sleep and i think nobody's watching, i take off my mask of sanity and for a little while, just for a few moments, i stop pretending that i'm human. This is when I'm happiest, though such instances are few and far between.
