i recently read david brooks' book the social animal. it talks a lot about how important the sub-conscious is and how emotions play a much larger role in decisions than the rational mind. this is never more true than when it comes to meeting someone special. it's not just about having someone who meets a long list of adjectives and physical descriptions; it's so much more complicated than that. i think you can only tell so much from reading an online dating profile. when all is said and done though, it's easiest to just meet in person and see what happens. there are a few things though that are important to me so i'll say them right out front.
i like to eat foods that make me feel good and are good for the planet so finding someone who cares about what they put into their bodies is important to me. i love to eat out and find new restaurants and try new things. i am a vegetarian but i don't mind if you're not. a gal who can put on some hiking boots and be outdoors one day and then the next day throw on heels for a night out on the town is my cup of tea. i like tea. understanding the state of our planet is important to me so i'm looking for someone that regardless of political beliefs, has viewpoints on issues and stays informed. virtues that i value in myself and find incredibly attractive in a woman: patience, curiosity, kindness, ambition, interest in mindfulness and meditation, great sense of humor. i could go on and on but i think you should just write me if you think we'd click.
