My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hey my name is Jordan. I'm originally from Tucson, AZ where I was born and raised. Went to school in the Pacific Northwest (Greener status), and just moved to Baltimore for my new career!

I am a very goal oriented person, and believe that with enough effort anything can be achieved. My current goal is to do something exciting, maybe travel abroad and put my skills to use somewhere exotic?

I absolutely love to travel, especially via couchsurfing which I am an active member of. I am a very social person and could spend hours meeting new and interesting people (particularly people from non-English speaking countries)

I'm sort of a science nerd.

I love to eat out but am also an avid cook

I'm not sure what else to include in this summary, it is a summary after all...
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Well I start my new job as an associate scientist growing phage (points if you know what that is) pretty soon here and will probably do that for a few years before going to grad school for public health. In the mean time I hope to travel around the eastern seaboard as much as possible to explore and snowboard.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Playing the saxophone, snowboarding, attempting to be humorous, being myself, cooking, reciting random facts, picking the right music for the occasion.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!

Physically probably my smile and my eyes. Decent beard.

Also I have a huge booty

Books: One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, The Stranger, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, A Song of Ice and Fire series, any book by Mary Roach, Brave New World, 100 Years of Solitude, Mary Roach, HP, Cosmos, Camus, Slaughterhouse Five.

Movies: I'm a sucker for gritty science fiction, all Tarantino films, Wes Anderson films, American Beauty, Garden State, the list goes on.

Shows: Game of Thrones, Justified, Colbert Report, Tosh, House, Flight of the Concords, The Office, Breaking Bad, Boardwalk Empire, House of Cards, 30 Rock, Cowboy Bebop, Avatar, The Following, Adventure Time...

I don't really spend that much time watching a screen though, unless I'm studying and it's my computer screen. I'd much rather be out on the town enjoying the company of others.

Music: I grew up listening and playing Jazz and absolutely love it, blues (I play the harmonica), edm (Zedd, Deadmau5, Calvin Harris....Armin Van Buren, A&B, Ellie Goulding) and electronic lounge music (such as Zero 7), bluegrass, funk. Artists like the Talking Heads, Ratatat, The Flaming Lips, Radiohead, Above and Beyond, Bela' Fleck, Miles Davis, Funkadelic, The Black Keys, Led Zeppelin, The Allman Brothers, Muddy Waters, Dixieland Jazz, Joshua Redman...

Video games on and off. Most recently I finished The Last of Us. Totally blew my mind.

I'm a foodie to the max. I also cook/bake often. Just bought a kitchenaid mixer and I love it.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My friends. Music . Good food and good people to eat it with. My espresso machine. Snowboarding.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The universe and our place in it. The questions theoretical physics is trying to answer. What my future holds. The state of the world. How to travel cheaply. Day dreaming about crazy outdoor adventures and how to make the world a better place/what I would do if I were benevolent dictator of the world.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Either sitting on the couch watching a random movie with the roomies, going out on the town to shoot pool and drink. Random adventures are common as well.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Good question, I'm a pretty open guy for the most part.
