I have lived most of my life in Mass, but have traveled widely (most of Europe, Latin America, Australia and New Zealand and Bali, with more to go!). I love New England – in particular the coast of Maine, where I spend a lot of my summers.

I have recently been browbeaten by my friends into noting that I’m a “total catch” – smart, attractive, generous and warm…and in my less humble moments, I’m aware that this is true. I’m on OKCupid because I’ve been so busy this past year I’ve not had a chance to meet someone with whom I connect and vice versa.

I am eager to meet someone who is intellectual, positive, grounded and kind and who wants to build a life and hopefully a family. I am attracted to someone I can have great conversations with, who has a quiet confidence, is comfortable with himself, is curious and smart, but can also be goofy and get equally as interested in a bad British comedy as a serious documentary. I am looking for someone I can go out and stay in with, explore and learn together, and, maybe down the road, build a wonderful life.

Figuring out how to build on all of the things that I've done to make an impact. And, in the meantime...

Working as a consultant with a great organization that focuses on conflict resolution, problem-solving and collaboration.

Oh....and, in my spare time, running a Spanish tutoring business that I co-founded

Being there for my friends and family.
Getting things done.
Figuring out how things work and fixing them (well...all except my DVD player, which is a little wonky after I took it apart).
Puzzles and games and, in particular, winning at board games (with some degree of grace).
Rooting for my sports teams and magically affecting the outcome of the game! (I think it might be the Pats hat with the blinking lights that is doing the trick.

So I actually asked some friends about this, because my first response was "I have no idea..." This is what they said:

A lot of different things. But the recurrent themes would be: the people I care about, things that are going on in the world, where I want to go from here in my life to make a difference. Oh...and whether we will ever find out who the mother actually IS on How I Met Your Mother.

Out with friends at nice dinner, listening to live music, hosting a get together or game night (I'm a wicked competitor!)...or just cuddled up with a cup of tea and good book at home.
