My self-summary
Hi there!

I'm an outgoing person who gets energy from interacting with other (fun) people. The best times are when my friends and I crack some jokes or go on adventures and end up with hilarious stories. I'm the kind of girl that gets things done, has a lot of goals in life, and is incredibly dependable, but I don't take myself too seriously. I enjoy board games night with friends, partying, and sitting quietly to read (mainly non-fiction) books and magazines. I also love nature and the outdoors and would stop what I'm doing just to enjoy the sunset.

I love traveling: being in a new environment and experiencing a new culture and going on adventures is always great...but it starts getting lonely doing it alone ;-) I have friends literally all over the world so I'm looking for someone who's worldly or at least opened to different cultures.

I moved from Vancouver to KW to start graduate school and will hopefully be done and move to a big city in a few years and get into management consulting. I am lucky to be able to study what I enjoy, which is cultures (at work of course).

In my free time, I read a lot about random topics: art, design, science, psychology, culture, job search, money management (although I am still clueless on how to invest), etc. I also watch Ted talks. Currently, I stay active by going to the gym. Maybe I'll finally pick up skiing and tennis again (haven't done that since I left Vancouver!) Ideally this summer I'll get to learn to sail, although I already have a boat license.

Hopefully I can meet someone fun, kind, smart, and interesting :-)
What I’m doing with my life
I'm currently trying to finish my PhD so I can look for a job as an internal consultant for a large multinational firm. I do want to take a few months off after I finish school to travel again and do some French immersion.
I’m really good at
noticing both the pros and cons of everything. Self-awareness and perspective-taking.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
BOOKS: Although I mainly read non-fiction, my friend got me hooked on the fiction Shantaram. I'm still listening to it (audiobook) but it's the best fiction ever so far!

Some other favourite books are The Brain that Changes Itself (about neuroplasticity), Moonwalking with Einstein (memory), Embers (fiction), Kiss of the Spider Woman (fiction).

MAGAZINE: I'm subscribed to Canadian Business and Moneysense, but I also buy the following at the airport: the Monocle, Psychology Today, Harvard Business Review, Scientific American Mind, National Geographic Travel, People, US Weekly

MOVIES: 300, Ocean's 11, Big Fish...I like action and comedy mainly.

SHOWS: Ted talks (counts right?), HIMYM, Modern Family, Project Runway, Cougar Town

MUSIC: acoustic, indie, pop, electronic, house

FOOD: Thai, Italian, Japanese, seafood
