• I'm never humble to the hoity but more importantly, NEVER hoity to the humble
• I appreciate the absurd
• I like to drive fast
• If we go out to breakfast I'm likely to reset the condiments after they have been shuffled

What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
3 years ago I started a company with 2 other partners while working a full time job as an Art Director. It was a success from the get go and between the 2 jobs, 80 hour work weeks were not uncommon. I recently had my partners buy out the larger part of my interest in the company and as a result I am much happier these days.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Amusing myself with chopsticks, paper clips, rubber bands, and bottle caps.

Doodling on any piece of paper in front of me - my mail, your thesis.

And then all the usual stuff…

Creative problem-solving, drawing, painting, pixeling, vectoring, guitaring, drumming (NEVER in a drum circle!), massacring the mechanics of the written word, keeping calm and resilient in the face of death, finding simple pleasures, twirling 2 five pound razor blades (Chinese broad swords) around my head and body. I had a healthy obsession with Martial Arts (Kung Fu and Tai Chi in particular) throughout my 20's and early 30's but because there are only so many hours in the day, it fell by the wayside - for almost 8 years now (lame). I still go through my forms every couple months but I need to reintroduce my life to exercise. Exercise buddy anyone?

The giant chip on my shoulder? My proximity to them? Iono... a person's qualities are more attractive when you discover them on your own. You will have to investigate. I will say this - I know when I'm meeting new people I am always polite and respectful. At least until someone proves themselves an arrogant jerk or bully. Then all the well-mannered gentleman stuff goes out the window.

I read a lot of fiction when i was younger - Niven, Asimov, Herbert, Irving, Robbins, Vonnegut, Marquez, Thompson, Kerouac, Bukowski, Burroughs, Huxley, Suess - the basics. Thats pretty much the order in which my interests evolved too. I mostly read the internet now. And fiction doesn't really do it for me anymore. The last actual book I read was god is not Great: How Religion Poisons Everything by Christopher Hitchens. Yeah, I know he was a drunk, arrogant, dismissive, contemptuous of those less intelligent than himself kind of guy but I liked him. He made me think and laugh. Kind of bummed he is gone. Before that I think it was Steven Pinker's The Blank Slate.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
• Technology (yes, I would get by fine if it all just disappeared but I DON'T WANT TO)
• Art, design, music, movies (counts as one)
• Bay area weather
• My car (I like to get out of town every now and then)
• Pizza (I don't make a habit of it but xo pizza!)
• Beer!
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How I can't remember ever being born, how I can't imagine not thinking anymore and how, because of those two simple facts, I must concede— my experience thus far has been one of an eternal life lived forever. Yet I still cannot escape the dispiriting notion that the passage of time is linear and I’m moving swiftly along its edge in one direction towards a moment that will inevitably put an end to that which is me.

I'm kidding. I think about my cats. I wonder if they are happy.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Working on my ultra violent animated zombie cartoon.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I own a juicer. I love my juicer.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
• You want to know where to get the absolute best slice of pizza or sushi in the bay area.
• You can roll with the punches.
• You have an imagination.
• You have a job you love or you do something outside of work that you love - sew, dance, design, play music, exercise, write, garden, draw, do make-up. Anything, just as long as you are passionate about it, as long as you invest in yourself for some reason other than it will make you money.

Do NOT message me if...

• Your moral and emotional intelligence is at the level of a bright five- or six-year-old.
• You can't laugh at yourself.
• Your common sense and capacity for original thought have been educated out of you.
• You use text/chat acronyms IRL conversation.
• You are living in a vacant artificial self invented from fantasies of absolute power and beauty, incapable of loving anyone but yourself while expecting others to love your pretend-you who, unsurprisingly, because of your total lack of empathy, are unable to understand your self-obsessed, vindictive and spiteful actions have consequences. Keep your distance, you've been warned (Tongue planted firmly in cheek. I'm not that angry, I'm not that hurt)
• You are a psychic (or rather, you believe you are a psychic)
• You've never made a mixed tape (CD, playlist, whatever) for someone.
• You care about burning man.
