Well, I like playing
music, and I have a math/science/nerdy
side. I'm in a few music groups, playing keyboards a a couple of
blues bars and a cafe. I like going to the
beach,
wine tasting, great movies, especially
quirky independent film festivals,
skiing is lots of fun, Sundance is good
'cause you can do both. My musical interests are pretty varied, but
if I'm going to a big venue I like classical shows since they're
acoustic, and if I listen to jazz or pop or
blues then I like small clubs a lot more.
Generally I play in small clubs, but that probably has more to do
with my playing than my preference.
The wildest side of my personality is probably the part that
emerges in a passionate relationship, once I get really comfortable
with a partner. I'm very open minded for a straight male.
Otherwise, I'm kind of soft spoken, cool and rational under
pressure, and I like to cook a lot too.
Well, this music thing has started taking up a lot of my time I
have a small software business also, and I do some investing. I
like to travel. In the past I've owned my own software company,
Well, you know, if I have a partner who really turns me on, then
we're both ususally pretty happy afterwards. I am also on a quest
to cook the perfect steak. Oh yeah, I'm pretty good at nerdy stuff
like math, science and computers. Some people like the way I play
the blues. I do a good Tom Waits impression. I'm pretty good on
recorder too; I'd
be fun to play duets with.
Hopeully, there is more to me than meets the eye. I guess that
means that I tend to be pretty understated.
Beethoven's 7th, 2d movement. Una Furtiva Lacrima. Woody Allen. Ray
Charles. James Brown. Bill Evans (piano). Miles Davis. Kind of
Blue. Tom Waits. Willie Nelson.
Clint Eastwood. Road Warrior. Diva. Vinyl.
Phillip Dick. William Gaddis. Gravity's Rainbow. Tolstoy, once
every 10 years or so. I must confess that I read math and physics
books sometimes.
Steak, rib-eye, medium rare, pan seared in butter and garlic, or
roasted over a wood fire. Roasted winter vegetables, with fresh
rosemary and corn and fingerling potatoes. I'm still looking for
the perfect salad, though a Caesar with Romaine hearts and real
anchovies comes close.
You're interested in checking out the beach or some interesting
music or maybe heading up to the wine country some afternoon. If
you're a software engineer or math major or like science, that's a
plus, but really a sense of humor and a positively textured outlook
are the most important.
