My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I like to find the good side of any situation in life, I guess that makes me a positive person. I was born and raised in the bay area, moved away for a while for/after college and, after traveling the world and the country, I'm back. Been living in SF since 2010, making the most of exploring the city, enjoying the gorgeous scenery, and meeting the wonderful people who live here. I like homebrewing beer, which makes this kind of a perfect place to live, since there is amazing beer in California and the bars tend to focus on the craft beer.

I adopted a dog last year, which means I spend tons of time training her and taking care of her. It's been an eye-opening experience, but feels super enriching.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I moved back to the bay area back in 2010 to be closer to my family. I've been living in San Francisco since then. I love exploring the beautiful natural resources this area has to offer, but don't get to do that as often as I want. I work in Sausalito as a software engineer, which is a very interesting field to be in SF. The last couple years I've been bouncing around among several hobbies from kickball to improv to working on my house to hiking.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Making people laugh; it's where I find most of my joy. I'm reliable and think of myself as a good friend. Most importantly though, I'm good in finding the positive side to any situation; I can process the circumstances and react better to them when I'm not dwelling on the negative aspects.

Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Kurt Vonnegut and a local author named Christopher Moore would have to be my favorite authors. Lately I've been reading a lot of non-fiction. I've been really interested in my heritage, so I've been reading as much as I can (which really isn't that much since I don't make time for reading often) about ancient Ireland and Irish history.

Not a huge movie person. But I love certain classics like Supertroopers and Dazed and Confused. I don't go to the movies often, but when I do I like a movie with a good story more than special effects and explosions.

I'm down for just about any kind of food, but have a special place in my heart for asian foods (indian, thai, chinese, japanese). I like a lot of music but I've been most recently getting into Outkast, Descendants, and Weezer.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
There are plenty of things in my life that I love, anywhere from homebrewing to snowboarding to having a few drinks with friends, but I don't think there is anything I can't do without.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Family. History. What next big project I'll start in my house. I recently built a flagstone patio in my backyard and I want to finish landscaping before the summer is over. I've been a little anti-social lately (a pattern that I think was the result of over-committing to my last job), so I found myself thinking a lot about the people who are dear to me, friends in SF, friends from previous stages in my life, etc, and how/when I should reconnect with some of those people.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I used to perform improv every week with my team, but that started monopolizing too much of my weekends, so I had to quit the team. Since then I've mostly had pretty quiet Friday nights. If I'm not trying to rest up from an active week, I'll try to go to a Giants game, meet some friends out for dinner or search out the many craft beers on tap in the city.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
