I am hilarious, serious, and happy.

My Self-Summary

I do things my way. I have a zany sense of humor, an analytical mind, and a good memory of what people tell me. The memory thing may not include other forms of memory besides memory of what people tell me about themselves.

What I’m doing with my life

I moved to Paris a few months ago. I'll be here for (at least) eighteen months. I'm doing pretty much what I want.

I’m really good at

facial expressions, voices, and being really excited.

The first things people usually notice about me

It depends what I'm doing. If I'm singing, it's my "voice." If I'm working, perhaps it's that I look like I'm up to something.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

books: Churchill's WWII vols. 2 & 3

movies: A Man for All Seasons, though I've only seen it once. I thought a lot of the Oscar contenders this year were good.

music: The Cure, Frank Sinatra, Def Leppard. I also liked some hip-hop a few years ago.

food: I'm changing my dietary habits after reading "Good Calories, Bad Calories." So I'd say food with little or no sugar.

The six things I could never do without

I'd like to say the internet, but I've done without that for a few years before. It's not TV either since I've done without that for a few years. I was a test subject for a NASA study once, so since that involved extreme conditions for 30 days, I'll go with what I learned about myself then.

1) Some control over my own situation
2) The ability to walk around
3) People behaving rationally
4) Earth's gravity
5) my family
6) control over my own diet

I spend a lot of time thinking about

science, French, the world

On a typical Friday night I am

Seeing Paris, socializing, working, or relaxing

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I have an identical twin. I don't know if that's an admission, but it freaks some people out.

You should message me if

you're a flexible, giving woman who laughs sometimes.
