I am Great, wonderful, and modest.

My Self-Summary

I'm a nice guy, not in the "waaah nice guys finish last" or "why do all women all like assholes not nice guys" kind of way. I guess more specifically I am a good man, I treat people the way I want to be treated, courteously and with respect, I don't lie cheat or steal and try to do the right thing as much as I can.
I randomly quote movies, TV and songs in the middle of conversations and love spending time with people who do the same. I have an incredible memory for useless and meaningless trivia. I love surreality in conversations, movies and literature.
I'll come right and say it I am a geek. I like sci fi and horror movies and other such things. But I am a cool geek, still better geek than hipster right?
I love animals and kids (not in the priestly way) and they love me. I am a very good cook and a so so writer.

I am taking a long time to grow up in some ways, the fun ones, I am mature and responsible when I need to be and I try my absolute best not to let anyone down.

What I’m doing with my life

Some men have their midlife crisis and buy a shiny red convertible, have an affair, date women half their age or leave their wife. Me? Assuming this is my mid life crisis, I have realized that being happy with what I do for a living is more important than making a ton of money or having some "status." I recently left a job managing a restaurant, something I've done for about 15 years. I did this with no back up plan, no promise of employment elsewhere, simply because I was not happy anymore.
So you ask what I am doing with my life? I'm looking for something that makes me happy.

Oh and I found a job in less than a week so don't let anyone tell the job market is bad, you just need to write a good resume and be impressive in an interview. The job was supposed to be a temp position but it became permanent. I am a manager for a costume/lingerie store in Philly, go me.

I’m really good at

Reading people,Voicing my opinions, and giving unsolicited advice. I am not good, however, at taking the same advice.

The first things people usually notice about me

I'm told my smile

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

What really matters is what you like, not what you are like... Books, records, films - these things matter. Call me shallow but it's the fuckin' truth
-High Fidelity

a) Neil Gaiman, Douglas Adams, Kurt Vonnegut, Hemingway, Steinbeck, Lao Tzu Batman b) horror, Japanese samurai movies and yakuza movies, Asian action,Monty Python Fellini Kurosawa Takashi Miike Godard almost anything in the criterion collection c) Punk, Psychobilly, Rockabilly, gothic americana that's Faulkner type gothic not Lefaneu, Anne Rice gothic. The Clash The Ramones and the Misfits Social Distortion The Meteors Carl Perkins johnny Cash Velvet Undergroundhank iii strawfoot as well as Brian Setzer but not the big band stuff. Please note I despise the Beatles and am not fond of the Rolling Stones, I feel they are the two most overrated bands in the history of rock. Also the Smiths, the Beautiful South and other bands with tongue planted firmly in cheek lyrics

d) I love most food and I will cook you one hell of a dinner, or breakfast if you're THAT kind of girl

The six things I could never do without

My cats, the organized chaos that is my life, my friends, movies music and books (they count as one), sarcasm and Hope

I spend a lot of time thinking about

I think about everything, sometimes I analyze everything to death, its a great trait when you're planning to invade Normandy but its not always so good for every day stuff.

On a typical Friday night I am

working or philosophizing with friends or checking out a band or bar or otherwise wasting time

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I have a minor phobia of baby corn

You should message me if

can handle my babbling and poor typing skills
