Other random junk about me
I am one of those silly people that rides a bike 10km to and from work regardless of the weather and and somehow enjoys it.
I am a designer. Always have been, always will. While most of what I play with is mainly functional, I also really like art.
When I moved out of home I moved to the other side of the world
I studied for most of my exams on the couch in front of the television and I wrote my masters thesis using an ironing board as a desk.
When i recently went in search of a new bed, i got so feed up wih how the shitty affordable beds look that i decided to build one myself.
What I’m doing with my life
The longer version 〉〉 After finishing my undergraduate degree i was presented with two options: (i) take some shitty job, work there for a couple of years and then move on and repeat, or (ii) continue studing. Searching for a job was nauseating so i choose option ii.The problem was that i couldn't really find anything in Australia that i wanted to do. So i though, why not try overseas? I sent one application and they said yes. So i ended up in Europe.
The master course involved one semester in the Netherlands, one semester in Germany, an internship semester and finally one semester thesis. The semester in the Netherlands was really good. I brought a bike in the first week and basically didn't walk anywhere for the next 5 months. The second semester was not as good, although i got to travel around alot. Finding an internship was a challenge, considering my lack of german at the time, but somehow I managed to find a company in Augsburg, Germany. Cutting things short, I ended up doing the thesis at the same company and now I am working for them.

The first things people usually notice about me
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
I sort of read operating manuals for a living, but i don't think that counts.
Movies & more | Watching
TV 〉〉 I've been in a place devoid of good television for the last couple of years, so you will have to settle for some old stuff: Arrested Development (†3), Scrubs, Family Guy, Futurama, American Dad, Amazing Race, Trauma: Life in the ER, Black books (†3)
Internet Vids 〉〉 Inside Business, Ted.com, fora.tv
Movies 〉〉 Most things i will watch, but only once, with the exception of anything by Hayao Miyazaki. I am not really a fan of horror
Music | Listening
For me, i use music to give me energy, so i get bored pretty quickly when i listen to folk or ambient music, and i use it to drown out silence.
Food | Tasting
Thai, Indian. A recent addition to my often consumed list is cheese, which sounds a bit strange but there is an explanation.
The six things I could never do without
» The opportunity to learn and do something new
» Being able to push the boundaries of what's possible
» Internet
» The freedom to experiment
