I am a scenic painter and I love my job. I think that the secret to happiness is to love what you do for work.

I like people who are intelligent and funny. I appreciate an edgy sense of humor and wit. I am not fond of staunch republicans, and can agree on many levels with libertarians, but my beliefs are mainly democratic.

I am not religious but I am a Buddhist - which is more like a philosophy than a religion because we don't believe in worshiping a god - it's already in all of us! The whole point of Buddhism is to overcome suffering, be happy and help others. How simple is that?

I don't eat animals that I can pet or cuddle, but you can.

I have limited free time and I actually like to have my alone time. I am not a needy person, and don't want that element in my life. In fact, I am pretty happy with my life the way it is - it just might be fun to find someone to hang out and enjoy dinner or a movie with once in a while. I am open minded about a long term thing, but cautiously optimistic.

I love to paint, so that is what I try to do most of. I also have a side project that I am working on. It's an exercise device that targets the posterior tibial tendon. I want to help others who are affected with PTTD and this might do it.

I planted a veggie garden this year - otherwise I mostly have flowers. I love to sit out on my patio and watch the fish in my fountain.

I draw quite well and sold several paintings. I work as a set painter for a living, so this is a good thing. I love to cook and make a mean marinara. I can fix most anything, or I can find a good person to fix it if I can't. I am quite resourceful.

The first thing people usually notice about me other than my appearance, is that I probably have paint on me somewhere that did not come off in the shower.

After that, they usually notice that I am pretty open minded and can be very silly when encouraged.

I love Flatland - it's my favorite book. I am reading The Elegant Universe right now. Currently, I am in love with the film "The Fall." It did not get any recognition and that is a darn shame because I think it is the best film that I have ever seen. Although, I do have some old favorites, like Brazil, Memento, and Harvey. There is a new documentary called "Transcendent Man" that I must see. Check out the trailer and let me know what you think.

I have eclectic tastes in everything. I love to listen to good music, but unfortunately there are no good radio stations for music in Los Angeles and that is very sad. I end up listening to Pandora or Houndstoothradio.com

I have no tolerance for Journey, Boston, Southern Rock in general, and the sound of Celine Dion's voice makes me wretch uncontrollably. I like a various array of music from the Buzzcocks to Bach. Not fond of show tunes, but I loved Hedwig and Rocky Horror.

My favorite food to eat out is Sushi. I like to eat out, but there are some diet limitations (no peppers- they don't like me) and I do not like to eat meat (except seafood.)

Also, I hate paying for a meal that I could cook better myself at home.

I am very low maintenance, so the six things that I could never do without are basic:
Air
Food
Water
Clothing
Shelter
A Purpose.

I wonder about things, then I go on google to try and find answers to my questions. I mostly wonder about time being variable (as opposed to a constant) in the next dimension. If you have any idea of what I am talking about, please let me know. It has a bit to do with Carl Sagan's explanation of the 4th dimension, but more like the end of Flatland where we wonder about the next level looking backwards.

I like to cook a good meal, either check out a local performance or perhaps watch a movie, relax and enjoy the end of a long work week. Saturday nights are the ones for fun and excitement.

I came here from another planet. My mission is to seek out intelligent life. I'm not having much luck, though.
