My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a freelance graphic designer who spends his days working on a multitude of fun and creative projects for clients both big and small.

Although being self-employed means that my job takes up a big chunk of my time, I'm by no means a workaholic. I try as much as I can to enjoy the simpler things in life like going to see stand-up comedy, making top-notch food, and geeking out with some friends.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I just left my job in order to do some freelance work as well as finally sink some time into personal projects that I had been putting off. It's been a couple of months and I'm happy to say that I genuinely like it!

I really missed working on things that I'm actually passionate about and as a result, things are going pretty well for me on that front.

Plus being my own boss means that I have the freedom to nap whenever I want, which is pretty damn awesome.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I've been told that I have the uncanny ability to awkward the shit out of pretty much any situation. It's like a superpower. An incredibly lame and inconvenient superpower. The ladies love it.

Truthfully though, I'm probably not 'really' good at many things but I like to think that I'm a decent listener, an alright cook and an unstoppable force when it comes to playing dodgeball.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I can be a bit shy when I first meet a person but that usually goes away pretty quickly.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Movies: Lost in Translation, Barney's Version, The Dark Knight, the Bourne Trilogy, Chasing Amy and le Fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain.

TV: Silicon Valley, Arrested Development, The Wire, Breaking Bad, Buffy, Six Feet Under, Pushing Daisies, Firefly and a slew of others.

Music: Portishead, Massive Attack, Burial, Daft Punk, DJ Shadow, Blue Sky Black Death, La Roux... I like a bit of everything but I tend to veer towards downtempo and electronica. I'd also be remiss if I didn't mention that I think that this pop medley is one of the greatest things ever: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=If5MF4wm1T8.

Books: Ender's Game, Box Office Poison, Le maître d'escrime, The Way of Kings, Ready Player One and - as someone who grew up with the character - I have a huge soft-spot for the Harry Potter books.

Food: I'll eat pretty much anything that's put in front of me but steak, sushi, risotto and deep-fried chicken are probably what I would have everyday if my metabolism could afford it. It wouldn't be a healthy life... but it'd be one worth living.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
• My friends
• The ability to travel when I want
• Some sort of creative outlet

Making this list has made me realize that there are very few things I couldn't genuinely do without. As long as I have these three things, I'm pretty happy.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Having dinner and drinks with a few friends, enjoying some stand-up or chilling at home with a good book or movie.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I think that Kelly Clarkson writes songs that my heart would write if it could.

While I don't have a specific idea of the kind of person I'd like to meet on this site, if you're a good conversationalist, are open-minded, a touch creative and don't mind being the test-subject for new recipes, then I think we'd get a long swimmingly.

Big plus if love 'Schindler's List' and 'Annie Hall' but still recognize the genius that is 'Pitch Perfect'... Or you think we'd get along regardless.
